THE FIRST FULL-LENGTH ALBUM BY AXEGRESSOR
Axegressor, the fiercest of the fierce, is undoubtedly the newest gift to thrash metal from Turku, Finland. Their line-up, widely experienced in various other groups, started re-awakening the music they deeply love in 2006, and seemed to have immediately found the right track upon the release of their first self-financed mcd, Axecution (2007). And their next step was even further, with Dethrone Music releasing the band's first full-length album Command (2009).
Even though Axegressor is still less than three years old, the group has already gone by several milestones. Immediately after the release of Axecution, the band played two Finnish mini-tours, respectively supporting Adorior (UK) and Legion Of The Damned (Holland). They were also chosen to play at Oslo's Inferno Festival as the only Finnish act - even from among 140 other demo bands! Before the tours started, founding drummer Jouni Latvala stepped aside due to projects in personal life and Atte Mäkelä was introduced in his stead. Another change to the line-up was experienced in late 2008 when guitarist Aki Järvinen, another founding member, chose to pursue his own musical interests.
Axegressor's first album, Command was recorded at spring 2009 and released in 3rd of June.
