SHORT BIOGRAPHY:
From classical and jazz musician to being a House and Electronic music DJ. That was the musical evolution of AXEL WAYN. He was born in Italy, his parents were members of a choir; he has therefore been close to the music world since he was little, even though he only started studying it at the age of 14.
He started studying music thanks to a famous Italian musicologist. After studying at the Conservatory he decided to continue his improvement privately with renowned teachers. His dedication and encounters with other musicians were the starting points for his first concerts, also as a soloist (among them a concert for the Pope in Sala Nervi at the Vatican – Rome - with an audience about 12.000 people)
His musical horizon did not end with classical music and his need for new and different challenges made him approach the multicoloured language of jazz. The study and experimentation with jazz brought along more concerts with various bands and as a soloist (for example with the New Project Jazz Orchestra). The artistic encounter with a few DJs who were looking for a musician for the creation of dance music, marked the beginning of his passion for house and electronic music. This cooperation encouraged AXEL WAYN to become a DJ himself. Musical research and culture of sound are his typical features.

Da musicista di musica classica e jazz a DJ in ambito House ed Elettronica. Questo è il percorso musicale di AXEL WAYN. Nato in Italia, da una famiglia di coristi, fu avvicinato sin da piccolo al mondo della musica ma il primo vero approccio come studente fu intorno ai 14 anni. Iniziò lo studio della musica classica grazie all’incontro con un noto musicologo italiano e dopo gli studi al conservatorio scelse di continuare il proprio perfezionamento privatamente, con rinomati docenti. Lo studio e contemporaneamente l’incontro con altri musicisti crearono le condizioni per l’esecuzione dei primi concerti, anche come solista (tra i quali quello per il Papa in Sala Nervi – citta’ del Vaticano – Roma, alla presenza di circa 12.000 persone). Il suo orizzonte musicale non si fermò pero’ alla musica classica, ma bisognoso di nuovi e diversi stimoli approcciò al linguaggio multicolore del jazz, studiandolo, sperimentando ed effettuando poi insieme a varie formazioni i propri concerti anche come solista (ottima in tal senso l'esperienza con la New Project Jazz Orchestra).
La sua passione per la musica house ed elettronica nasce dall’incontro artistico con alcuni dj professionisti che volevano la collaborazione di un musicista per la creazione di propri brani musicali.. Da qui nacque lo spunto che spinse AXEL WAYN a diventare anche dj oltre che musicista. Ricerca musicale e cultura del suono sono sue tipiche caratteristiche.
