AXIDENT AVENUE were created late in 2006, when Violet's (Vox) and Valentine's (Bass) band went belly-up. They both had been wanting to start a sleazerock/glam-metal band for quite some time and they started looking for a new line-up. Ricky Holmes, a mind-blowingly good guitarplayer (and drinkingbuddy) joined the band a few weeks later. After playing with some different drummers, when none of them really worked out, Ricky introduced the guys to a good friend of his, Lucky DeVille. He played the drums like he was trying to beat the shit out of them and therefore turned out to be perfect for the band's wants and needs. (He also had a really cool 66 Cadillac, perfect for sleazy rock'n'roll transportation). The band were now ready to shoot off with a loud, angry and in-your-face singer, a tall, dark and handsome bassplayer, a sleazy motherfucker tearing the strings of his guitar, and a gasoline-drinking, V8-loving drummer.
They started rehearsing and writing some cool rock'n'roll songs, telling everybody about this new band called AXIDENT AVENUE. When they a few months later recorded their first demo, "First Fucking Tape", it was so many people wanting it, the band had a hard time producing enough demoes to go around. The song Holiday was released on one of Glamnation's compilation-cd's and received attention from alot of young sleaze-rockers all over the world. The band also played alot of gigs all over eastern Norway, making a name for themselves as one of Norway's best glam-metal bands.
Their second demo "Another Disease" (released spring -08) contained four brand new songs, allthough very diverse, still with the same edge and fuck-you-attitude.
In the fall of 2008 AXIDENT AVENUE signed with Live Wire Booking and Management, hoping it will help them reach a larger crowd all over Europe and all over the world.
2009 started out great for AXIDENT AVENUE. They won "The Nordic Challenge" on Myspace, and got a spot to play at Sweden Rock Festival 2009!
In april, AXIDENT AVENUE went to Italy on tour, with shows in Rome, Brescia, Alessandria and Bologna.
After having a blast at Sweden Rock Festival june 2009, AXIDENT AVENUE is back rehearsing, creating new songs and getting ready for their Germany Tour coming up in October. AXIDENT AVENUE will also be playing alot of gigs in Scandinavia this fall.
