From the classic rock sound of “Live Hard” to the darker metal rampage of “Nightmare”, the music of Axiom is as diverse as the members of the band and their influences. Chances are you will find something of interest in their music regardless of your preferred genre.
Dreams & Reality
The childhood dream of forming a band discussed between Jacob and Greg in 7th grade didn’t begin to take shape until they were sophomores in high school. The reality of that early dream came to fruition in September 2008 after the right mix of talent was put in place.
It started with Jacob as the drummer, Greg as the bassist, and Levi as lead guitar.
They needed a vocalist and so began the search. Instead of a vocalist they found Andrew, whose smooth lead guitar riffs complemented their sound and added another dimension to the music.
After several vocal auditions without any success, the band decided to make a change. Jacob would move to lead vocals and rhythm guitar.
Jacob’s younger brother Josh would pick up the sticks for the first time, and one month later (Sept. 2008) take the stage with Axiom as the new drummer.
With the lineup set, the unique sound that is Axiom took shape.
With the raw force of Josh on the drums, the slicing riffs of Levi and the velvet riffs of Andrew each playing lead guitar, Greg with the funk slap and pull style bass, and Jacob’s unfeigned vocals, Axiom began the journey down the rock and roll highway.
With air play on SL-100 and 102.3 along with winning the Last Band Standing competition on July 3rd they're quickly gaining recognition as a strong up and coming band worthy or your attention.
Where it will take them can’t be foretold but, it’s been said “It’s the journey that counts, not the destination”.
See you on the Rock and Roll Highway!
