Axiom Addicts were founded in 2002 by Singer/Guitarist Rina Kleege and Keyboard Player Stephen Kleege. Performing as a duo, Axiom Addicts focused on melody and lyrics, bringing "music you can hear,'" to such New York venues as the Knitting Factory, Kenny's Castaways, Bar-B, the C-Note and CBGB's. Since 2006, Axiom Addicts have been performing Steve and Rina's "hip, intelligent" pop songs with a full rock band, featuring Mike Garner on bass, Hollis Headrick on Drums, Nick Moran on lead guitar, and Debby Schwartz on vocals. In addition to performing regularly in Manhattan and Brooklyn, Axiom Addicts provided sound tracks for Birdshot Mountain (a vice presidential parody that appeared on Arianna Huffington's blog) and Caveman Robot, a multimedia musical comic strip with music by Debby Schwartz. Axiom Addicts also appear in Debby's soundtrack for Chris Harcum's play American Badass, performed in the 2008 Frigid Festival in New York.
