How I came to be...
Ha! "I put on a costume!" Well, not yet anyway. I will though. Once I get it designed. It's a work in progress.
I read an article in the City Weekly about the SLC Superheroes, The Black Monday Society. I love the idea of patrolling the streets at night, preventing crime. I also have other ideas that I would like to do with this new persona.
Put yourself back to your child years. I'm sure, like everyone else, you had police officers and the like coming to talk to you and your classmates in school about "stranger danger" and such, yes? Do you remember anything they said? Yeah, me neither.
The police are called heroes. And that they are. However, children still see them as a man or a woman. They're only human. I want to talk to kids in my uniform, mask and all. I really feel they would be more likely to listen to and remember what a superhero has to say and they might get more excited about learning such things. The police are seen everyday. They're a part of life. If I can bring a little fantasy and fun into learning, I think it would do them good.
I would also like to do fundraisers, toy drives, etc. My main goal in creating this new entity I have called Axiom is to help children. That is my main focus.
But running around the streets of Salt Lake in a costume with the guys would be fun too. :-)
