    Percussionist, Aya Kaminaguchi Singer won the Percussive Arts Society Audition in Boston 2005 and Artist International New York Debut Award Audition in 2004. In addition, she won the Takatsuki Music Competition in 1999, the Osaka College of Music Honors Competition in 1998, the Aspen Music Festival Soloist Competition in 1997 and was a semi-finalist of the International Marimba Competition in Belgium 2001. She has performed as a soloist at the Settsu Music Festival in 1998 and the Percussive Arts Society Young Artists Concert in Japan 1998. As a chamber musician, Ms Kaminaguchi has performed with the renowned percussionists Neboja Zivkovich, Frederic Macarez, Michael Burritt, Nancy Zeltsman and Nanae Mimura. As an orchestral percussionist, Ms. Kaminaguchi has performed with numerous orchestras in the United States and Asia, including the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Kansai Philharmonic and the New World Symphony. During summers, she has performed with the National Orchestral Institute, the Aspen Music Festival, Bayreuth Music Festival and has toured South America with the New England Conservatory Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. Ms. Kaminaguchi earned her Bachelor's Degree from Osaka College of Music and Master Degree from the Boston Conservatory where she won a full-scholarship. She has studied with Sal Rabbio (Detroit Symphony Timpanist), Nancy Zeltsman (Marimba Artist) and Pat Hollenbeck (Boston Pops Percussionist). Ms. Kaminaguchi currently works as a section percussionist with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic in NY and also enjoys working as a percussion accompanist for the Rutgers University Dance Department. She is also the percussionist for the "Star Wars: In Concert" and "Porgy and Bess 75th Anniversary National Tour". She lives in New Jersey.
