Arroyo Knights Band and Color Guard Relief Fund
As many of you already know, Arroyo High School suffered a major set back to their music program this past weekend. Their instrument trailer jackknifed and overturned on the 60 freeway on their way to our Music in Motion competition. The driver and passengers are ok; however their trailer and instruments were either damaged or destroyed. We immediately sent out a team of boosters along with our rental truck to assist them with off loading their instruments, hoping the students might still be able to perform later on that evening. The director of Arroyo decided to pull their band from competition because of the trauma that his students were facing and that not enough loner instruments could be acquired in time for the performance. After meeting with their Boosters, we offered our extra Marimba and Vibraphone as a loner, until they are able to get their instruments replaced. Getting their students back onto the field of competition, would be the best medicine for healing, after such a disastrous accident. Currently, Arroyo's biggest needs are for funds to secure transportation for the rest of the season. Ayala Band and Color Guard is setting up a donation center, to collect these much needed funds. Your donations to this worthwhile cause would be greatly appreciated. Please give generously and remember, we are doing this for the kids. They have worked so hard to get to this part of the season, lets help them to complete it!
