About AYEA

ALASKA YOUTH FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION (AYEA) empowers young people to impact environmental health issues in Alaska through skills training, action projects and campaigns, and civic engagement opportunities. Six teenagers founded AYEA in 1998, and today we are a statewide program with over 1,200 participants throughout the state.

OurTime 2008	Dec 6 2007 9:35 PM You missed out if you did not go to the "Stop the Hits" performance last night at the Atwood. Ma'o Tosi's Pride Program put on a dy-no-mite show, all featuring local young people who have been growing their talents a poets, rappers, dancers and overall performers. Every performance was different and was engaging. It was so refreshing to hear young people talking about getting an education, staying away from violence, being strong individuals... I even hear them say "and if ya really wanna be a baller, you gotta get them grades." Finally! KUDOS to Ma'o and his staff. Thanks to KFAT for promoting this event and giving Anchorage Youth a chance to step up and stand out. It's "OurTime" to Make it Happen.
