About me:

In the 1950's and 60's along Buck Smith Road in Palmyra, Tennessee,USA my Grandfather created a folk art world of larger than life concrete statues of politicians, Indian chiefs, religious figures, war heroes and others. After his death in 1970 the statues were vandalized and little remains of them today, but I have undertaken with the help of old family photos to recreate this art world on the web. I invite you to see the photos below and also to take a virtual tour of these statues at
Wickham Stone Park
Besides folk art I am interested in photography, music and the Internet. On my pages you can checkout my themed SLIDE SHOWS about
folk art ,
abandoned places ,
vertigo ,
trains , and more.
I also have a collection of VIDEO JUKEBOXES of my favorite musicians, including
Johnny Cash,
Harry Chapin,
Leonard Cohen,
and
Judy Collins. See my
TIPS page
for fixing common myspace profile problems. Do you need help with a badge? See my
musician and
artist badges pages for tips on creating a badge. I also store badges on these pages. Do you need to backup your My Space Pages? See this
page . Recently I have created some YouTube videos that combine my photography with music. You can see ALL these videos from the Heading West cover below OR see larger screen sizes
HERE.

Poem 230 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(see my blog for details):
CHRISTMAS SUNG SIMPLY
As gospellers have said,
Beneath signalling skies,
On land dusty to tread,
A trough in a stable
Was the strawy first-bed
Of a divine baby -
The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope -
There then and here now;
The yuletide of goodwill -
There then and here now.
In respect of this chance,
Beneath bright or dark skies,
Faith's the star that we glance
Attending Christ's churches
And trying to enhance,
With singing and ritual,
Our God-loving stance.
