About me: Hi,
My name is Aynsley & I play drums.I've been playing now for 20yrs...my first band at the tender age of 14 had an ex nun turned bad on vocals.That couldn't last now could it? I then joined a number of bands in Barnsley,namely Sweet Fanny Adams,Sacrament & Amnesia.I soon grew tired of playing the same old gigs in my local postal area & decided to get serious & join a band called Hardware.After a couple of treks around the country playing any venue that would have us,we were signed to EMI spin off label,Bulletproof.We went into the studio with producer Simon Efemy & recorded a 5 track EP 'Race Religion & Hate'-released August 1996.We then toured the UK extensively before heading out to join Finnish & Swedish bands Amorphis & Therion on a six week,12 country tour.Bus sharing with Swedes is not recommended.The following year we returned to play at the MTV sponsored Beach Bum festival in Jesolo,Venice. One full week in a van to get there & back pretty much finished us off.At this point,I'd grown tired of gigging and pretty much stepped away from playing drums.I took a few years off until joining NINEDENINE.We recorded an EP plus an album,played gigs relentlessly around the country and generally had a laugh filled shenanigan fest.Unfortunately,the bass player ran away to Canada to escape an evil beast residing in his house.At this point,our string plucker couldn't carry on due to ill health-plus he couldn't see over the till when buying guitar strings from the music shop (Hi Andy!).Leigh & I carried on writing music with Leigh taking over guitar duties.A few months went by and I got a mail from John to join RISE TO ADDICTION...as luck would have it they needed a singer as well! The rest,they say is history.This is just another way of me saying I can't be arsed giving you a history of us-GO CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE! Suffice to say it involves clapping monkeys,Lenny Bennet,Old Peculiar,Andy Sneap,dislocated shoulders in the Czech Republic,airline pilots,midgets,clown feet,shoelacing,Trouble and playing music.
