I can't live without writing so here I'll show restraint! I will tell you that me and my twin sister Oni are working on a film script and Gunstone films are making a feature film of it! We had a promo party at BAC on May 19th- check out the slideshow!

Movies
There's a whole world here. Let's start with some old trashy stuff: The Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, Pump up the Volume, Heathers, The Lost Boys, The Goonies.
Recently I've seen Walk the line which was good for my heart! Songs from the second floor is pretty amazing- it's got its whole own look and feel and Tarnation, a true story scrapbook about life on the edges of everything. I can't believe Jonathan Caouette showed us so much of himself. I love the Wings of Desire too- the angels looking over us, we can't see them but they're everywhere. watching, talking, hoping for us and the switch between colour and black and white. Wow!
Television
Newsnight- it might seem a bit sad at 19 to be spending your hours with Jeremy Paxman, but I do! Paxman and Jon Snow know how to ask difficult questions and directly- they're like blood hounds on the scent of ridiculousness and irony and deception and we need them.
Did you see when Jeremy Paxman was forced to present the weather??!! Check it out http://youtube.com/watch?v=HMAt8ZXqtbc
Books
"I sing the body electric" The Wasteland, Brave new world, Jean Anouilh, Camus, Ibsen, Strindberg, Tennesee Williams, The Time Traveller's Wife, White Teeth, The lovely bones, Lucky, If on a winter's night a traveller, A million little pieces, Under the greenwood tree, The mill on the floss, The bell jar, The catcher in the rye,On the road,I keep on thinking about writing something as brilliant as If on a winter's night a traveller by Calvino and wondering if Oni and I can do it... mix all those different worlds and layers, talk about yourself through others, reduce everything to 'a reader', 'the author'. The little poetry cafe off Endell St serves the best coffee and has great readings. I've just found it. I'm also getting into Aisle 16's nights of live performance poetry. Luke Wright rocks and Rational Rec too.
