About me:
I'm an old punk who is passionate about it, oh hell I'll finish this later
Who I'd like to meet:
people who share my passion about the old punk scene. Umm preferrably old punks themselves, I am an archivist who is about to start working on a documentary about the Los Angeles punk scene, so I want YOUR stories, it is going to be called "OUR WAY" and is being made primarily as a non profit portrait for those who were there (I'll even make everyone an executive producer and split the profits (which will be nothing of course equally to everyone involved, so that way everyone makes the same). Besides that I love old films, especially silent movies and would love to meet some others into that.

Great seeing you and meeting your girlfriend last night. The second film was a revelation! "A Kiss for Cinderella" should be seen with "Neverland." Only instead of "lost boys," we have little girls from all the warring nations during WW1. But I don't understand why the curtain for the ball was dated 1913.

Here's what really intrigued me: the costumes! ohmygawd, the production values on that film outshone anything done today. Whoever art designed and costumed that movie deserves accolades. What an amazing treat.

I've never seen "Peter Pan" with adorable Betty Bronson. I can just imagine she was great both onstage and screen. No wonder she starred in this film too.

I'll remember "The Godless Girl" for a long time. I dunno about Cecil de Mille, what an imagination! He packed about four movies into one! He truly was best at action scenes. My discomfort is that the only god that he accepts is Christ, and of course that inflames me. I believe in god, but not Christ!

Coincidentally I'm posting this on the day of the eve of Purim, a truly fun and important holiday. Esther married a man who would kill her if he found out she were Jewish. This courageous, beautiful, vegan woman risked her life to save her people and her beliefs. Not all religious heroes are men nor are they Christian, Mr. de Mille! Let us remember the "Ten Commandments," which he directed twice, was about Jews!

Glad I pulled myself away from the computer. As for the dark pink decor of the new Billy Wilder Theatre, hey, it totally matches my hair! And Billy Wilder was an Austrian Jew. I wonder what kind of career de Mille would have had if not for the Jews in Hollywood, but I digress. There wasn't enough leg room for the men behind me, who kept kicking my row when they changed sitting positions. And at $9 a ticket, my days, rather, evenings of enjoying rare old films via UCLA will continue to be limited. Not all film buffs have money and they should do all they can to pull us in. Just cos new movies cost that doesn't mean us film buffs go to those films. UCLA rarely fills all 300 or so seats, so they make it harder by charging more. Good luck with that!

Take care and keep in touch!
