Sure thing. I've got the drum track and a rough bass track done. Still trying to work out how I want the guitar to sound as well as what the rhythm guitar shall play. As for Manta Ray, I'm going to re-record and maybe change bits, but I do have a rough thing you could listen to at some point.
Dude, picked up a load of surf drum loops for £6. 7 different intros, 22 little verse and chorus sections, a couple of bridge parts, as well as ending and individual drum parts. I'm working on an instrumental called Megalodon, because, you know, giant extinct prehistoric sharks are awesome. I can mix and match all these different parts to create a drum track, with snare rolls and everything, and get them in time easily too =)

I think so. I should check them out. I came up with the idea when I woke up at 4am this morning. It kind of went in a slightly different direction, considering the sound in my head last 3 seconds, and I made up the rest on the fly, but it came out okay. I recorded it earlier in a 15 minute session. Added a teensy bit of reverb. Plus, I used a metronome, so it's totally in time...mostly. Next time you're on msn, I'll send it to you so you can have a listen =)
I was thinking of calling it "Manta Ray". Turns out that in the 30's, there were two movies that played on the Ray's "fearsome" appearance, despite the fact that they're quite gentle creatures. One even starred a pre- Frankenstein Boris Karloff, although, I doubt he was the Manta Ray..
I just woke up from a splitting headache, and I have a nice idea for a short song. The sound I've got in my head is...hmmmm....I suppose just try and imagine what Social Distortion would sound like if they played instrumental surf punk =)
