About me:
OK, OK... I created a damn MySpace page. Bleh. Welcome to my page.
I've lived in AL, MS, PR, KS, MA, and AZ, but AZ is my "adopted home". I've worked in mental health and law enforcement, and hold a BA in Psychology with a focus on research methodology from the University of Arizona. I'm on "permanent hiatus" from ASU, a couple classes away from a Masters in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Program Administration.
My "Clark Kent" time is spent downtown, working for a state agency as a special investigator. My "Superman" gig is running NICOclub.com, the web's largest and most active Nissan / Infiniti website network. I'll probably leave my 9-to-5 soon so I can devote more time to my kids and my business.
I have 3 beautiful kids (16, 11 and 9), and lost my wife Stacey Childs last year to a long, ugly battle with cancer. I have 2 dogs (Black Lab, Yellow Lab). I have tons of friends all over the country as a function of my job, which is really cool (especially when I travel).
I'm a car guy. My garage and track time is pretty special, but it also ties in to my business, so that helps. I like to travel, and I make about 6-8 out of town trips a year. I have several female friends, but none I'd be comfortable dating (or *ahem* anything else). As far as I'm concerned, the only things on TV worth seeing are NFL games (and I still don't watch a whole game), UFC on occasion and "Whose Line".
In addition to running The NICOclub Network, I also own a small fabrication business (BRM Exhaust) - we make custom performance exhaust systems for Nissans.
I go to church (most of the time), but I also swear on occasion. I'm kinda conservative in my views, but not a raving right-winger. I'm pretty frugal, but not a cheapskate, silly but not annoying, irreverent but not disrespectful, and take care of myself but nowhere near vain.
Nowadays, I'm trying to make every moment count... enjoying time with my kids and my friends, leaving my towel on the bathroom floor, eating PB&J's at 2 a.m., dating a little, driving too fast with the top down, wearing the same shirt two days in a row, working less and playing more, not worrying about what other people think, and generally all the things I've missed out on during my time as a "responsible adult". If that's something you don't approve of, move on - I have plenty of friends.
