Hi, my name is Aziza A Poggi. I am a singer for Dendura (prog metal w/ an Egyptian theme) and Aziza & Al-Asdeka (world fusion). Plus, I am an aspiring opera singer and session recording artist. Dendura is currently working on our new album with Grammy winning producer Neil Kernon. I have trained with Melissa Ferlaak Koch (formerly of Visions of Atlantis and Aesma Daeva bands) , Dale Schriemer of GVSU, Bill Bokhout (Opera GR), and now Diane Penning (GRCC). I'm also a voice major in college. I have worked with many great people thus far in my career such as Deni Pierson of Amarna Sky on a recording project which also featured Karl Sanders of Nile on lead guitar, with a project for Comedy Central doing the theme song on the show "Monsters Ballz" to award winning indie films and directors on "Broken", "New Directions" and " Cadence" for film scoring. I'm Egyptian, Lebanese and Northern Italian.
I am also a former actress in many independent films and commercials and casting assistant on the films "61" (Billy Crystal, HBO Films), and "Hardball" w/ Keanu Reeves & Diane Lane (Paramount Pics). I no longer act unless it involes singing on stage. My personal life I pretty much leave at home. I am a single mom to 1 though pictures of my son are not seen much on my page because I am a bit paranoid! Thanks for reading,
