Never in the history of the institution has there been a student who receives Crane degree credit for studying in a Classical/Art music studio. Also, NEVER BEFORE HAS A STUDENT EARNED CRANE DEGREE CREDIT FOR PLAYING A RECITAL ENTIRELY VOID OF CLASSICAL/ART MUSIC. THIS RECITAL REPRESENTS THE BROADENING OF THE ALREADY GROWING SPECTRUM OF STUDY AT THE CRANE SCHOOL OF MUSIC. It joins current efforts at Crane for greater emphasis on alternative veins of performance study as means for learning about and experiencing music. Joined by my friends, and exceptionally talented musicians: Nick Parker (Bass) and Matt Dintrone (Drums), I will be performing an entirely post-bop/modern jazz set to fulfill my Music Business degree's recital requirements. We will be performing tunes by revered composers of the golden era of jazz, and by us. I hope you join us for this exciting occasion.
