    Tour Outcasts's Interests
General2007/2008- The season is about to begin; here's a sneak peak at three new additions to the Tour Outcasts '92's Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Cameron Caruso back playing with a hometown team. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Colorado mad dangles have made the Outcasts 92's a three state team. Wesley Cumpston, welcome to the family. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Although Tucson isn't another state (maybe it should be...), it sure seems like it. Adding more beastly size and Tucsonian skills; Alex Karic $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 2006/2007- Back for a second year as the Tour Outcasts. Rollerplex is still our home and we couldn't be happier. Last season's 16's have retired as far as being "Outcasts". Many can stil be spotted playing ice over the fall and winter. A few of the old team might also be seen sporting the sick new Panthers jerseys playing with the 18 team at Rollerplex. The new generation (last year's 14's) have stepped up to 16/Bantam and are hoping to carry on the torch the original team lit 4 years ago. As the 16 team starts their 2 year mission to capture a NARCh medal, a fresh new 14U team is being assembled for this Spring to develop new talent for the future. With two Outcasts teams and a 14U Panthers AA team on my plate this year I thought it might be wise to expand the coaching staff. Alex dodt will bring his pad and pen, along with his bag o' dangles as he assistant coach's my three teams with me this year. Starting out with the "Vets", here's the 2007 Tour Outcast 16U team: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Between the pipes; #1 in your hearts, and on his jersey, Andrew Barletta. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting #22,This season's suprise offensive threat, Broderek Anderssohn Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Fresh off a trip to the barber, #41 Chris Martinez comes back without the afro but not without that famous "intensity" that everyones come to expect. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting #91 Kevin Morgan started his season out right by scoring 6 back to back goals to rally the most amazing and ridiculous come back in the history of the game. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Still sick with the dangles, but not afraid to play the body, #11 Levi Wallace. A little High School ice hockey was good for this Prescott boy. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Completing the Prescott connection, #7 Mitch Eastman, the enemy of any power play. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Bringing the funny and the snipe, #18 Nic Spinasanta returns for his 3rd year as an Outcasts. He's grown an inch for every year he's been on the team. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting New eddition, #16 Kyle James, enjoying the color change to a nice, mellow BLUE Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Doing double duty as both a Bantam and a Pee Wee this year, #92 Ryan Davis can still be seen blowing by defenders. Even without the Steelers to motivate him, Ryan will still be a force in both divisions. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Not even Long Duong could side line #4, defensive threat Topher Gary. Toph can also be seen sneaking into the "other" zone now and then so be warned. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Since I thought the team might be lacking a vetran presence (and skin tight jeans), #14 Zach Medlock rounds out the roster for 2007. *************************************** Sometime around March of '07 the newly formed 14U team will make their debut. Throughout the fall, the 6 core players joined forces with the 91's to show Alex and I what they had. Here's what the team looks like so far: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Everyone had a hard time keeping up with #92 Ryan Davis when he was a first year 14, good luck this year boys... Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Photobucket - Video and Image HostingThe one-two punch from El Paso; #8 Alex Oliver (top) and #13 Mike Rivera (bottom) supply the speed, craftyness, and grit that you'd expect from a couple Texans. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Have fun getting around #25 Nate Wilson... if he get's around you though, the puck's probably going in the net.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Proving that sometimes good things do come in "pocket sized" packages, #18 Jesse Davis. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Believe the hype... #16 Zach Zehrbach is the real deal. He's also a real pain in the ass but we put up with him anyway. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketRedifining the term "two way player" #96 Nick Bazso is a beast in both zones. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket #48 Sean Stahlnecker jumps right from ice to AAA roller hockey and doesn't miss a beat. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Shnipemaster 5000 was a huge pick up, it came with this kid so we took him. #77 Tommy Tuohy from the "Little Tour Outcasts" Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Leg pads brighter than the sunshine of his native home Florida, our new goaltender #33 Jordan Priebe. __________________________________________ 2005/2006- A bunch of crap happened over the summer. Photobucket - Video and Image HostingOur rink closed (R.I.P. TRSC) which sucked but the closure of the rink found us entering into a new partnership with Rollerplex; bringing the Outcasts and Panthers teams into the same family. Along with getting to play in the most friendly rink in Arizona, we ended up getting some new talent into the program on a full time basis.Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPossibly the second biggest change after moving rinks, was changing sponsors. As of this year we became the newest member of the Tour family of teams. We couldn't be happier as Chad and the guys at Tour have been awesome so far. It's nice to have a sponsor who's at your games, sees you play, and supports your efforts. I'll update this section as the year goes on, but here's the boys who make up this years teams: 16U Outcasts Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketNumber 9 Jordan Clarke Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Number 11 (or whatever he happens to have in his bag) Long Duong Photobucket - Video and Image HostingNumber 71 Zach Izumi Photobucket - Video and Image HostingNumber 3 Chris Longo Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Number 91 Ler Marek Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Number 14 Zach Medlock Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Number 28 Nick Miller Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Number 19 Danny "I don't do bad stuff" Perez Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Number 33 Eric Hernandez Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Number 18 Sal Passarelli Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting 16 Outcasts team picture when we won the April TPC @ ASC. This might be the only picture with the two of them NOT trying to kill each other. **************************************************************14 Outcasts Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Number 18 Nic SpinasantaPhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting Number 41 (who wears that number?) MusicThe 2004/2005 season was one of many changes. The orange and black was traded for a fresher looking navy blue and white giving us a new look once again. The Syven stuff was (sadl)y traded for Reebok/CCM equipment. PF10 skates and CCM pants replaced Syven Full Factory's and 701 pants, I even got the kids to wear Reebok helmets (I hope they forgive me someday). The original Outcasts boys moved up to 16's and brought back a few familiar faces. The biggest change though was the addition of a second Outcasts team. With a few 90's needing a team to play for, I put together a full time 14 Outcasts team as well. This was an interesting season, not good or bad, just interesting. Because of multiple commitments by Reed and I, we decided to have a shortened season and took a year off of the standard NARCh/Pacific Cup routine and instead experimented with the AAU tournaments... At least now I can say I know why NARCh is the ONLY true national championship for Roller Hockey. This was by far the strongest Outcasts team ever put together. Nick (Roa-meo) Roa and Russell "Ear" Savala returned to the group and Tyler Koressel joined up to add a little Prescott to the team. Finally with the addition of Matt Grogan in net (fatty dangles, spinning Michigan breakouts, puck down pad penatly kills, and plenty of blockers to the back of other teams heads) we finally had a strong team AND solid goaltending at the same time. Even if there wasn't any hardware to be had, this season will always be remembered as one of the funnest in my book. The16 U team from left to right; Zach Izumi, Chris Longo, Russell Savala, Jordan Clarke, Tyler Koressel, Grant Lyon. Tyler Marek, Nick Roa. Not shown were Danny Perez and Matt Grogan Image hosting by Photobucket The 14U team was a great experience for me this year. We struggled a bit, but I know everyone improved from it. I think the most important thing was that we learned a lot from one and other this year. Here's what I learned from the 14 team: From Chris Martinez I learned one energy drink is enough for most 13 year olds. From Nic Spinasanta I learned it can be the stick. From Zach Medlock I learned girls pants aren't just for girls anymore. From Tyler Marek I learned you can play baseball on a hockey rink especially in El Paso. From Cody Castro I learned that just because you're 12 doesn't mean you're not a beast. From Brennan Murray I learned it's sometimes best to NOT let your little brother know EVERYTHING about you. From Topher Gary I learned that a stick doesn't neccesarily have to be shorter than you are. From Mitch Eastman I learned that I do still have good instincts when it comes to potential. Oh yeah I forogt about Sal Passerellil, from Sal I learned that just because you have a stick, it doesn't neccesarily mean you'll use it to close your 5 hole when you drop... All joking aside the 14 team was a great experience. Here's the team from left to right: Brennan Murray, Matt Kothe, Mitch Eastman, Tyler Marek, Sal Passerelli, Zach Medlock, Cody Castro, Chris Martinez. Not shown; Nic Spinasant & Topher Gary. Also not shown but on our roster at one point or another this year; Levi Wallace, Jonny Noris, and Cameron Bush.Image hosting by Photobucket The end of the season took us to New Orleans for the AAU Jr. Olympics. Here's the wonderful convention center where the knee hockey rinks we played our games on were built. Notice all the empty space between the rinks that could've been used for things like REGULATION SIZED RINKS. Image hosting by Photobucket The 14's right before their first game; Ler, Castro, Medlock, Murray, and Sal Image hosting by Photobucket Anyone else think it's time for new gloves for Medlock? Those things can be seen from 100 miles away.Image hosting by Photobucket One of my all time favorite kids Jonny Noris played with us in New Orleans. When Jonny's not out pimping his dad's Sprung frames he can be found in the surf of San Diego or cleaning a boat deck somewhere. Image hosting by PhotobucketSpin looking to create some offense... we may not have left with a medal but we won the award for ugliest gloves in the tournament. Image hosting by Photobucket I dug through a ton of pictures of Brennan Murray, there's some good hockey pictures of him, but the look on his face here sums up Brennan perfectly. Image hosting by PhotobucketThat's followed by Brennan on the PK, a place we saw way too much this tournament.Image hosting by Photobucket NOBODY got by Ler in the 14 division, he won't let me forget it either. Image hosting by Photobucket Ler... if you can't get by someone with a move, just jump over them?Image hosting by PhotobucketWho says Sal has a big 5 Hole? That's just people exagerating right? Image hosting by Photobucket TOPHER; about to show this kid why a long stick works.Image hosting by Photobucket This kid's pissed Cody Castro won't let him up, now imagine how he'd be if he knew Cody had a 12U game right after this one? Image hosting by Photobucket "I'm open, I'm open, DAMMIT pass to me"... "Um Chris it's warm ups, we're all open, are you sure your head's OK?Image hosting by Photobucket So right before our second game we had a "little" delay... there was some water on the rink: Image hosting by Photobucket But one rag just wasn't enough Image hosting by Photobucket Then it came down to this: Image hosting by Photobucket ...and before you know it THIS happend (way to go Topher, you flooded New Orleans)Image hosting by Photobucket There's not a lot of phot documentation of the 16's while they were in New Orleans. I think this one shows the number one non-hockey highlight of the trip. THE BEST omlete I've ever had, the short order cooks yelling "Hercules...Hercules... Hercules" at Todd, and the milkshakes. From right to left; Zumi, Roameo, GPR, Jordie, and Reed. Image hosting by Photobucket
MoviesThe 2nd Outcasts season 2003/2004 should probably be named "the year of the mile". Lots of skating for the 6 skaters and a goalie that was our regular roster for most of the season. Clarke and Perez reunited with two old Excaliber friends; Chris Longo and Ler Marek to build the core up again. Then we picked up what every good roller hockey team needs; an Asian from southern California (Zach Izumi) who moved to "A" town. Lastly we brought some ice kids over to the "dark side" with the addition of Chris "you're on my list" Walker, and Kyle "dumb goalie" Dietriech. The 7 Outcasts kids teamed up with the aptly named (but only by coincidence) Syven Hockey for our major sponsor. The Syven Outcasts were born. Image hosting by Photobucket A small bench was our blessing that year. I don't think these guys will ever be in that good of a shape again. I really only put this picture on here for you to notice the HORRIBLE helmet Izumi's wearing. My god we had to look at that thing all year long. Walker is that why he's on "The List"?Image hosting by Photobucket Meet Chris Walker. During the 2003/2004 season Chris was having an epic battle with the Sleeve Fairy, who for some unkown and possibly very evil reason, kept stealing the sleeves off of all Chris's shirts. Appart from not having anything over his biceps, Chris was a great addition to the team. The OC Blades 89's LOVE CHRIS WALKER, especially the HICK. One more thing about Chris... he has a list. If you're not already on it, I'd steer clear of him, if you are??? I wouldn't worry I don't think he can read so you're probably safe. Image hosting by Photobucket Damn did these uni's look good. Todd Trickle needs to bring back Syven! Adding Chris Longo brought us what ever team needs; a little more Party Boy! Image hosting by Photobucket "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em", was the plan this year. Instead of trying to figure out how to beat all the crafty Orange County asians we decided to steal one for our own. Little did we know we got the defective one. They just don't make cloning machines like they used to. We kid Zach a lot but we do like him. I've asked Zach a few times if he really might be the dumbest hockey player EVER, he's not too sure but three years later I think it's safe to say he's not, just maybe a close second... Image hosting by Photobucket After looking at this picture is there any reason you can find to explain why he started the season named "Dieter" but ended up being called "Dumb Goalie"?Image hosting by Photobucket When Outcasts brought on the BEST girl hockey player to ever play the game there was only one problem... she was a LER which isn't a girl at all but rather a smart assed, crap talking, dangling, wanna be Federov... BOY. Here's Ler giving the thumbs up to getting his 6 Pac NATIONALS medal; two thumbs up huh Ler? Can anyone tell me what's wrong with this second picture? If you can identify what doesn't look right about Ler you get a prize. Image hosting by PhotobucketImage hosting by Photobucket Although we played most of the year with 6 and goalie, when we headed to 6 Pac NATIONALS (that was for you Ler) we added two fresh faces. Long always looks sad, I think Zach might just be upset about Deiter letting in that full court goal. Long put on a show and Zach became a punching bag for some crazy Colorado kids. Long and Zach pictured below waiting for awards after the championship game. Image hosting by Photobucket2004 was also the first year the Outcasts expanded into more age groups. For the trip to Colorado we added a 16 U team pictured below. Those players were; bottom row "Dumb Goalie" and Matt Grogan. Second row; Josh McMellon, Nick Miller, Todd "18 wheeler" Marek, Nathan "sorry did I score the winning goal against us" Killian, & Tyler Koressell. Top Row Andy Mgill, Neil Kaneshige, Justin Marr, and some kid I only remember as B-Rad (Harbor City represent?)Image hosting by Photobucket This was also the year to start developing new talent and opening the doors to future players. There was born the Syven Outcasts 12U development team. Although they didn't come home with a medal, they took a respectable 3rd and played far beyond all expectations. The roster was as follows- Bottom row; Dillon Trelor, Alex "Paul Karyia" Izumi, Miguel Griffen, Chance Morris, and Riannon O'Rielly. Top Row; Derek Kappler, Ryne "Blue" Rezac, Joey Jimenez, Ryan Sarnak, and Mitch Eastman. Also on the team for a few tournaments but not shown were Nate Wilson and Kyle Lewis. Image hosting by Photobucket
TelevisionOur first year was the 2002/2003 roller season. The core of players we started with fled the ranks of another Phoenix area program along with me. We wanted more freedom and we wanted to focus on our growth and compeition. Past players of mine and some ice hockey friends of the team were added and the roster was solidified; we were the CCM Outcasts that first year. That roster was: Danny Perez, Jordan Clarke, Kyle Wilson, Seth Badgely, Nick Roa, Russ Savala, Eric Elliot, Jon Bobb, and Grant Lyon. The Outcasts must have played close to 40 games that year over 8-10 tournaments. We hit TPC tournaments every other weekend it seemed like in 2003. Most trips were mini-vans filled with the most rediculous bunch of retards I've ever experienced... I wouldn't have traded that year for anything Here's a few photo memories of that year. Image hosting by PhotobucketSeth Badgely shown here with his knee hockey injury (AKA stick to the eye from Reed). It had nothing to do with Seth hitting on Nicole all week right? Seth may have been our only Jew but when you have a beaner with one ear on your team, being the only Jew doesn't feel so bad. WE MISS YOU SETH!! Image hosting by PhotobucketOhhh the van trips... If there was a sound track with this picture it would be of a man in a blue coat telling a story about Dusty Collins. You can't see it but Seth's in back of the van sucking his thumb, wearing only his boxers. Image hosting by Photobucket Here's TT. If you know TT then you already know. If you don't... head down to Tucson, ask around at any of the fine trailer parks. His mom's hispanic and his dad... well, think Wesley Snipes. Image hosting by Photobucket This would be the kid with two first names, Jon Bobb, Bizzle represented the number 89, he represents the Phoenix Firebirds now but back in his roller days Jon tore it up. Just for the record he didn't do ANYTHING the ref had it in for him... every game. Image hosting by Photobucket Best 5 bucks I ever spent. For those of you that were there, you know why this is SOOOO DAMN FUNNY. If not then ask one of the original 9... or anyone on that old Mission Marvel Team. Image hosting by PhotobucketGrant Lyon, now there was a goalie. Grant also represents the Phoenix Firebirds now but without Grant that first year we would've been sunk. Grant made his return a few times over the years for us when we needed him. Thanks and good luck next year wherever you end up! Image hosting by Photobucket This was some random TPC at Irvine. The important thing to notice here is the infamous Nick Roa jump suit. Also take notice of Jon Bobb's HORRIBLE neon green trucker hat. thank god that faze is over. Image hosting by Photobucket Most likely the crowning moment of that first season, the NARCh qualifier at The Castle. Daryn Goodwyn called our championship game the best come back in NARCh history. Outcasts VS Tour Rebels. End of the first period we were down 4-1 scrambling and getting dominated. Perez asked if we should "start trying yet"...end of the second period we won 8-4. Grant got top goalie with a .923, Jon Bobb only cup checked like 4 kids, Roa back checked (kinda), I think Elliot even had a goal in that game...
