Quixotic Caleb (I mostly use facebook)'s Interests
General
I play a lot of video-games, read a lot of books, and enjoy to write, I believe books to be the second most potent form of entertainment following the human mind. I am a proponent of freethought, am a card carrying member for the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and am a legal reverend ordained by the First Church of Atheism. Big science nerd, and I can be a bit of a pretentious ass.
Music
I like Pink Floyd, Queen, and a lot of other classic rock. I love electronic music. I listen to a bit of a variety though ranging from jazz, pop, to soundtracks. I also love the classics like Ludwig van, Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, and Wagner. And for whatever reason I like Catholic Gregorian chanting. I'm sure there's some sort of Freudian goldmine there.
Movies
Big Star Wars nerd, like a lot. A lot a lot. The End of Evangelion, The Mask of Zorro, Lola Rennt, Das Boot, Juno, Pan's Labrynth, anything by Miyazaki or golden age Disney. I have an attraction to fantastical movies. I am eagerly awaiting Watchmen. These are "favourite" movies, not "best." Hence no Citizen Kane or Godfather.
Television
I don't watch much television, maybe a few hours a month.
Books
This is tough, I literally own over a thousand books. For sheer immersion my favorite contemporary books are George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, and Alan Moore's Watchmen. I love fantasy, and among the best are Lord of the Rings, His Dark Material, Chronicles of Narnia, the previously mentioned A Song of Ice and Fire, and (inconsistently) The Dark Tower. Karen Traviss' Wess'har Wars is the only hard sci-fi series I've gotten into.
I also love Vonnegut, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Next, John Steinbeck (even if East of Eden was a mess), anything by Orwell, Allen Moore, Green Lantern, Batman, and DC in general, Shakespeare, C.S. Lewis, Goethe, Sherlock Holmes. Really, the books on this section just made it because they came to mind first, there's no way to make a comprehensive list.
Really? Well I got a 71 on it so I'm good with that. We had 6 questions and an essay. The essay is what saved me! I've read your German blogs, they were impressive you should speak up more in class because you obviously know what's going on.
WOW great avg. in English, sadly mine isn't that swell. I take my English test tomorrow and need to make a 46 on it to pass so I'm not too worried. It's good though that you think you did well, takes the pressure off a bit.
Ah I'm sure you did fine. I'm positive I didin't fail but I have no idea how I did in general. I didn't do so well on my French test but I had the 4th highest grade out of all the French 3 classes so that was something. What finals do you have left?
dude i heard about your made idea. it is brillant! i am in no way an atheist, but i am not what you would call an avengelical christian. i think that would be so awesome dude. i fully support it good luck!
