Real name is Ril. When it comes to the beats they call me The IZA. I don't play any musical instruments but I am a samplist. When it comes to the rhymes I'm known as Azrael. I write rhymes and recite it over beats from time to time.
An introverted individual by nature, Azrael expresses his genuine love for the cultural artform of Hiphop through lyricism and sound manipulation. Influenced by the different spectrums of Hiphop from Jay-Z to Wu-Tang, fused with pop-cultural reference from movies and comics, his lyrical format is constantly a diverse and evolving fusion of reality, imagination, honest expression, positivity, rawness and a touch of braggadocio swag through creative wordplay accompanied with varied delivery and flow.
Occasionally, he also indulges in the art of crafting beats as The IZA. His production style is a sample-laden, raw loop-chopping approach which is oriented towards the minimalistic and dirty "boom bap" sound of golden age Hiphop.
A driving force behind XS.One The Regiment/The.XS Collective, Azrael has been contributing to the various aspects of the development and progress of the collective. Aside from being an emcee/producer with crews within The.XS Collective namely X'Statix, X'Scapists and the now defunct Decepticons, he also contributes as a graphic designer, recording/mixing engineer, videographer and provides creative direction for the collective in both musical and marketing sense. He conducts production/recording/mixing and other forms of audio and visual alchemistry within the confines of his room he calls The.XS Lab.
