1. You may not nominate anyone who has previously won the Lifetime Achievement Award in the past.
2. You may not Nominate Bad Stain Records for Best Label, as it is owned by Chase Stain.
3. You may not nominate Laundromat Productions for Best Promoter, as it is owned by Chase Stain.
4. You may not Nominate Chase Stain as a person or performer for any Awards, it is allowed to vote for any bands that he performs in (as his band mates should not be penalized because of his involvement).
5. Best New Artist Nominees must be a band/solo artist that has started in the past 18 months.
6. Best Retired Group Nominees must be a band that has been broken up for a minimum of 18 months.
7. Best Album Nominees must be an album that was released between January 1st, 2006 and December 31st, 2006.
8. Best Song Nominees must be from an album that was released between January 1st, 2006 and December 31st, 2006.
9. Best Video Nominees must be for a video released in the past 18 months.
10. You are permitted to vote for yourself.
The AZ Ska Punk Awards is an Awards Ceremony dedicated to give thanks and show appreciation to all the hard working musicians, promoters, engineers, venues, and various supporters of the local AZ Music Scene. Formed in 2003, the Awards are held ech year sometime between February and April. Voting is determined by a combination of peers in the industry and fans of the bands. musicians, venues, etc. Every December, mass e-mails and forms are sent out to various peers in the industry and they are allowed to vote in each category. The top five choices are then chosen to be Nominees and placed on the official AZ Ska Punk Awards Website at: www.badstainrecords.com/skapunkawards. The voting then becomes public and fans can vote at: skapunkawards@badstainrecords.com. The band with the highest votes then wins the Award at the ceremony.
