On September 22nd, 1969, The Band released their second album, known as "the brown album". It featured 12 songs, including "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, "Rag Mama Rag" and "Up on Cripple Creek" (which hit #25 on the charts, their highest-rated single). The album rose to #9 on the charts, and is highly ranked in every major poll of all-time Greatest Albums.
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the release of "the brown album", The THE BAND Band presents The Brown Album Tour, playing the album in its entirety (followed by a selection of songs from other Band albums). Come on out and catch the show!
