Raised in the Boriqua Bronx, trained in the Northeast of
Los Angeles, Azul has
been a guest Dj and resident at some of LA's most popular nights past and present.
This local favorite ignites dance floors throughout the states on a regular. With his mix of latin Dance classic's to hip hop, house, and afro beat mashed with a side of electro rock, he's sure to take your ears on a musical journey.
Azul has played alongside and hosted events with the likes of Common, Talib Kweli, Questlove, Maceo, Afrika Bambaataa, Kool Herc, Jazzy Jay, Egyptian Lover, Arabian Prince, Cut Chemist, Madlib, Kenny Dope, Diamond D, Z Trip, The Beat Junkies, 9th Wonder, Dj Spinna, Garth Trinidad, Peanut Butter Wolf, John Arnold, Prefuse 73, Nobody, Daedelus, John Beltran, Daz-I-Kue, Paul Seiji Dolby, N'Dea Davenport, Ozomotli, Quetzal, Jurassic 5 and The Black Eyed Pea's to name a few.
When not on the decks or rocking the mic, Azul has been managing a blooming photo career with published work in periodicals such as URB, XLR8R, Kotori, Complex,Vice, Citybeat, BN and Jointz.
