+ You love a person for how they make you feel, for their courage & compassion. I believe we always go back to the people that were there in the beginning. You create so much of a history with certain people, they become a part of you, they're always in your heart.
+ Don’t let success get to your head, and don’t let failure get to your heart.
+ After awhile you learn the difference between holding a hand and changing a soul, you learn to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes open, with the grace of an individual-not the grief of someone who lost. And you plant your own garden, and explore your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers- you learn that you are strong, you do have worth and you can endure.
+ Hard work is painful when life is devoid of purpose. But when you live for something greater than yourself and the gratification of your own ego, then hard work becomes a labor of love.
Random Thoughts
So today I was walking with a bunch of blank white papers and the wind blew it away. And then I see a bunch of people running after those blank papers and getting them for me. They all said "There you go ma'm" or "Here you go" or "Here's your papers". Finally, as I was walking away this guy asks me "Do I get a sticker or something?" and I said "No sorry, I don't have any stickers but you get to feel good that you helped me." Makes me wonder whether it was because of the JROTC uniform or a sincere act of kindness. Whichever it was, we need more of that in this world. =]
The pursuit of happiness is an inward journey. Our minds are like computer programs, awaiting the code that will determine behaviors; like bank vaults awaiting our deposits. If we regularly deposit positive, encouraging, and uplifting thoughts, if we continue to bite our lips just before we begin to grumble and complain, if we shoot down that seemingly harmless negative thought as it germinates, we will find that there is much to rejoice about. ..
"Why is it that there's wider roads but narrower viewpoints?"
"I've learned that goodbyes will always hurt
pictures can never replace having been there
memories either good or bad will always bring tears
and words can never replace those feelings."
