The Day when the Soul fell- Azylum, "Dekada" Ostrtowiec Św.
Azylum was created in July 2007. In the beginning it included only two of the present members: Piotr Szwed (guitars) and Pawel(drums). After a short time two other joined the team: Marcin Ciekot (vocals, ex Penthause) and bass player Łukasz Szwed. The most uncertain part of the band turned out to be a keyboardist. After a few auditions, Michał Kryński was chosen to be the member of the band. In this final form, they started to work intensively in the beginning of August 2007. Every member had an important impact on the music they're creating as a band. Each of them brought a variety of music influences: blues, jazz, metal, rock, progressive rock and metal, neo-classical rock, death and power metal, funky, reagge, punk etc. Nonetheless, despite such a variety of music styles they chose the one, which is the most appealing to them - progressive metal. After a few months, the band decided to record 4 of their songs in studio. The work on the demo version ended in December 2007. Now Azylum is focused on creating new music and preparing to concerts. The new compositions differ a bit from the previous ones. They are technically more advanced and filled up with progressive sound. In the same time, band is maintaining its heavy sound and even increased the dose of it. They also decided to write their lyrics in English.

AZYLUM powstał na początku lipca 2007. W zespole początkowo był gitarzysta Piotr Szwed i perkusista Pawel. Niedługo potem dołączyli wokalista Marcin Ciekot (ex Penthause) i bassista Łukasz Szwed. Na początku "niepewnym" ogniwem okazał sie być klawiszowiec, którego pozycję po przesłuchaniu kilku muzyków finalnie zajął Michał Kryński. Tak oto w pełnym skłądzie ruszyli z pracą na początku sierpnia 2007. Kazdy z członków wniósł do zespołu swoje rozmaite wpływy muzyczne- blues, jazz, metal, rock, progresywny rock, neoklasyczny rock, progresywny metal, death metal, power metal, nu metal, funky, reagge, punk, itp. mając oczywiście swoje odpowiedniki w zespołach. Jednak mimo takiej rozpiętości stylów muzycznych obrali ten, który był im najbardziej bliski- progresywny metal. Po kilku miesiącach gry zespół zdecydował sie na zarejestrowanie 4 utworów w studiu , a prace nad płytą demo zostały ukończone na początku grudnia 2007. Teraz członkowie AZYLUM skupiają się nad tworzeniem nowej muzyki i przygotowaniami do koncertów. Nowe kompozycje poszły bardziej w stronę zaawansowania technicznego jak i progresywności. Zespół zachował przy tym dalej swoją "ostrość" a nawet zwiekszył jej dawkę, jak rownież zdecydowali się pisać teksty w języku angielskim. Jeśli chcecie ich zobaczyć i usłyszeć w swoim mieście piszcie lub dzwońcie.
