I've been in the industry since 1991 when I was a teenager playing at youth's events around the Birmingham community. I never had any contacts in the music industry but was determined to get my name out there. I played a local sound system (Jamaican disco) called Stereo Classic until about 1997, and then I realized it was time to go solo. It was like starting all over again because the team Stereo Classic had built up a name but as an individual I hadn't. I hit the road, the majority of the records I had purchased were still with the sound system, I was left with 2 records box about a ¼ of what I had actually obtained since 1991, my decision was made and therefore I had to stick it out. By 1999 the path that I had chosen was not anything like I had anticipated but I had to stick it out. In order to get my name out there and to make a little bit of extra cash to help support my music buying a

ddiction, I released my 1 st CD (Real Reggae) the CD bypassed my expectations.
In Jan 2000 I started up a local community radio station (unlicensed) initially to fill a niche' in the market but realistically to get my name out there even further. Within 6 months I was being contacted by key people in the music industry i.e. record labels, mailing list, promoters etc. In my hometown Birmingham I had become a household name, I was getting the recognition that I had always wanted. I was so confident in myself I was planning my 1 st official birthday party in Feb. 2001, but as the date got closer I lost confidence (scared of it being a non-success).
In Sept. 2001 I had my 1 st residency as a dj it was at a club called New Orleans Bham city center, I was there for 5 months before a new promoter took over the Saturday night. After leaving 5 months of being in the limelight it gave me the inspiration to stage my 1 st bday party. It happened in Feb 2002 and was a huge success, it took place on broad St. the club owner was so impressed with the turnout of my party he offered me a residency on Friday & Saturday nights (believe it or not I was the till June 2004). The radio was still functioning but as a dj I was bringing in more finances per week than the radio was bringing in advert wise. A decision had to be made; the radio was begging to become a liability more than an asse

t. To try to generate more finances for me and the radio I released another CD, this time under the name Friday Night Jugglin' The CD sold well infact extremely well, I was now getting recognized for 3 things
• Radio
• DJ Work
• CD's (which were promoted and sold)
What more could I want, I was being contacted by people that I don't know for CD's, Advertising on the radio and as regards playing at venues across the country. I keep releasing CD's (Venture stills continues). In June I went to Malia (Crete', Greece) I played in two clubs and was offered a residency, but the money offered didn't match the money I was getting back at my home town, plus I have other commitments i.e. children, girlfriend, family etc
I had to make a decision with regards to the radio I think I had taken it as far as I (personally) could have taken it. So in August 2003 I ended the radio (it was sad). Feb 2004 I had my 3 rd successive bday party (the most successful to date)
