“We talk shit…always” was the basic idea behind the Babble Goons when HighDuke (a.k.a. Don Fakaraun) and Scribe (a.k.a. P. Titts) first met up in Hamilton some three years ago. That idea still holds true as the Goons finish up their first demo album titled Critical Condition, to be released on October 6, 2007. Combining their usual energetic delivery over equally energetic production, the Babble Goons dip into their fantasies, desires and anxieties and use them to colour a variety of topics ranging from deviant sexual behaviour and drug innuendo, to everyday life, politics and society as a whole.

Although Critical Condition largely showcases the work of HighDuke (who produced the majority of the album) and Scribe, during the later stages of recording, the Goons decided to add two new members - Earthquake Slick (appearing on three songs on the album) and DJ Grusm (lending cuts to 4 of the album's songs). Check the Goons in full force on Saturday Oct. 6 as they unleash Critical Condition on the public.
