The Baby Blues Showcase combines St. Louis' most established 'Blues & Jazz' music venue, a dedicated community of music lovers and some of the country's youngest, most talented, up-and-coming blues musicians. .... Every year the showcase attempts to feature a variety of styles of blues including Acoustic, Gospel, Delta and Electric Urban blues... As so often is the case in St. Louis, we encourage special guests to come sit in as Brian Curran takes the stage every year for the post Showcase jam. (11:30p-2:30a)..... The Showcase was initially created to feature the small group of young St. Louisians playing blues & jazz; however in the last few years the Showcase has grown to include regional and touring bands. The Baby Blues Showcase has not only become a place for young blues musicians to share their music, but a calling card to the world that St. Louis is home to the blues -young and old..... Finally, each year The Baby Blues Showcase raises money for the Blues Society's Mission Fund, which helps local blues musicians in need of support. The Mission Fund is the only St. Louis foundation helping elderly blues musicians........... .......... ........ -
