After growing up listening to Triumph, Led Zepplin, Allan Parsons, Max Webster and Rush, Kim Addison began her performance career singing pop and blues covers with bands touring Canada. But after being educated at both Humber College and U of T, and falling in love with artists such as Chet, Ella, Mel and Coltrane, she dedicated her style to jazz. Her successful and popular music school in Oakville Ontario - The Addison Music Learning Centre - keeps her super busy. Employing over 20 teachers and educating over 1,000 students, Addison Music is thriving and was voted the # 1 music educator in Oakville for the past few years. In addition Kim writes a monthly music column for "Oakville Today", a quarterly music column for "School's Out" and various freelance articles for other publications. Past Performances include Oakville Jazz Festival, Dumaurier Jazz Festival, Montreal Bistro, The Rex.
