BIOGRAFÍA

Babycris es el nombre artístico de Cristina, española de nacimiento. Esta joven madrileña nacida el 13 de diciembre, rebosa talento y personalidad. Actualmente, trabaja en el mundo de la publicidad tras sus estudios universitarios y de posgrado, pero su verdadera vocación es la de ser artista.

 

Desde los 13 años ha estado formándose musicalmente con clases de canto, baile y estilo musical. Ha participado en obras de teatro, ha sido profesora de bailes latinos y ha cantado en varios locales de Madrid. Desde que era un bebé creció escuchando diversos estilos musicales: sonido “Motown” como Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson o Lionel Ritchie, los más cálidos sonidos latinos como Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, Willie Chirino y cómo no, el mejor sonido flamenco de su tierra, de la mano de su madre y su abuelo, cantaor de flamenco español.

 

Esta fusión de estilos musicales, han quedado plasmados en su primera producción titulada “En mí”, con la que el público podrá disfrutar de una canción pop que termina en un mambo o de una rumba con guitarra eléctrica… ¡Lo nunca oído en el mercado!

 

“En mí” es el resultado de casi un año de trabajo en el que han participado profesionales de primera línea:

 

• Alejandro Salas: Compositor, arreglista y productor de gran prestigio internacional. Siete de los temas de la producción han sido compuestos por este gran maestro que destaca por la gran calidad y elegancia de todo lo que hace.
• Jorge Luis Borrego: Compositor de grandes temas como “Amor Extraño”, “Abismo de Pasión” y “Cobarde”, tema, este último, que fue interpretado por la gran artista Selena.
• Otto Caballero: Arreglista musical, cubano de nacimiento pero español de nacionalidad. Ha sabido combinar los mejores ritmos latinos con pop – rock internacional.
• Daniel Richter: Productor musical y vocalista en varios temas de la producción. Ha aportado un sonido de calidad y una técnica muy perfeccionada.

 

El primer sencillo de la producción se titula “Cobarde”, canción que muchos conocerán por ser interpretada por la reina del Tex-Mex Selena. Esta gran artista ha sido fuente de inspiración y admiración para Babycris, por lo que ha querido rendirle homenaje versionando una de las canciones más importantes de su discografía en dos estilos diferentes: rumba-flamenca y pop-latin.

 

Muy destacable es la colaboración en este de CD de Hans Giraldo, integrante del grupo Barrio Boyzz (actual Boyz del Barrio) con el que Babycris interpreta dos hermosas canciones del maestro Salas: “Necesito de tu cuerpo” y “Si no eres tú”. Ambas canciones derrochan talento y sabor y levantarán a más de uno de su asiento.

BIOGRAPHY

Babycris is the artistic name of Cristina, who was born in Spain. This young woman of Madrid born on December 13, wastes talent and personality. Nowadays, she works in the world of advertising after having finnished her university and postdegree studies, but her real vocation is to become an artist.

 

Since she was 13, she has been learning and training musically with classes of singing, dance and musical style. She has taken part in plays, has been a teacher of Latin dances and has sung in several places of Madrid.

 

Since she was a baby she grew listening to diverse musical styles: "Motown" sound like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson or Lionel Ritchie, the hottest Latin sounds like Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, Willie Chirino and, of course, the best Flemish sound of her Country, by the hand of her mother and her grandfather, who was a “flamenco” singer (Spanish Fleming).

 

This mixture of musical styles has given expression to her first qualified production “En mi", that will make people to enjoy a pop song which ends with a mambo or even a rumba with electrical guitar … something never heard on the market!

 

“En mí” is the result of almost a whole year of work in which have participated very qualified professionals:

• Alejandro Salas: Composer, arranger and producer of great international prestige. Seven themes of the production have been composed by this great master who stands out for the great quality and elegance of everything what he does.
• Jorge Luis Borrego: Composer of great themes like "Amor Extraño", “Abismo de Pasión" and "Cobarde", song, this one, which was interpreted by the great celebrity Selena.
• Otto Caballero: Musical arranger, he was born in Cuba but he is Spanish of nationality. He was able to combine the best latin rhythmes with international pop-rock.
• Daniel Richter: Musical producer and vocalist in several themes of the album. He has contributed a cristal clear sound along with a very perfected tecnology.

 

The first single is entitled "Cobarde", song that many of you will know for being interpreted by the queen of the Tex-Mex: Selena. This great artist has been a source of inspiration and admiration for Babycris, reason why she has wanted to honor her memory adapting one of the most important songs of her discography in two different styles: rumba-flamenco and pop-latin.

 

“En mi” counts also with the wonderful collaboration of Hans Giraldo, member of the “Barrio Boyzz” (current “Boyz del Barrio”). Hans and Babycris sing together two really nice song written by Salas: “Necesito de tu cuerpo” and “Si no eres tú”. Both songs waste talent and flavor and they will make people to stand up and dance.
