NES Game Tactics | | Music | I generally prefer Rock-ish stuff. But I also like mellower tunes. I enjoy movie soundtracks. I often "discover" a band and then acquire most of their CDs.

I have an extensive collection of Christian rock, Love songs (mostly country, but some others as well), Disney songs, Instrumental movie soundtracks and a bunch of mixed up Contemporary Christian that I listen to rarely. | | Movies | I'll watch pretty much anything once, but there are some kinds of movies that I just don't like. Pointless scary movies being one of those kinds. I refuse to watch Scream and Saw and all that junk.
That said, I do like scary movies. But more like psychologically scary. The Mothman Prophecies, Signs (and pretty much any other Shyamalan movie), and similar movies are awesome, IMHO.
I like "sappy love movies" - Moulin Rouge, Titanic, Pearl Harbor, etc. Hey, I AM a girl!
Disney movies are good, too. The Little Mermaid is my favorite. I like most comedies, as long as they are not pointless and asinine. Romantic comedies like Hitch are the best kind. | | Television | I don't watch TV all that often. I just normally don't think about it. I come home & turn on the music. :-)
When I do watch TV, it's usually Jonathan's fault. :-) Haha. We like to watch cartoons like King of the Hill and Futurama, pro wrestling (not so much anymore, but we did go through a phase where evenings were planned around it), Pool on ESPN (it's SO much fun), various other sports (football, baseball, etc - Jonathan's choice), and CSI. | | Books | Heh. Have you SEEN my bookshelves?

About me:
I'm a college student (graduating in December 07); I'm majoring in English and minoring in Counseling. Eventually I might go to grad school, get my masters degree in Counseling, and become a high school counselor. But not right away. I want to start my family first.
In my spare time (haha), I like to read, write, watch movies, and play video games. One day, I'd like to be a published author. I'm planning to participate in NaNoWriMo this year, so that could be the start.
Jonathan is a soldier. Oh yes. A soldier. Be jealous. His MOS is 21Echo (Heavy Machine Operator), and he's in the Corps of Engineers. He is in Iraq right now; I'm holding down the fort here until he comes home.

Who I'd like to meet:
Is this a "dead or alive" thing? Hm...
I think that CS Lewis would be an awesome person to meet. Actually, I could probably list a million authors I'd like to meet, so just assume I typed them all out and leave it at that.
I'd like to meet Drill Sergeant Fernandez and tell her exactly where she can go stuff herself. Gah. That woman made AIT a living hell. Grrrrr.
I'd like to meet a couple of actors/actresses and/or singers. And other various members of the entertainment industry. Just because it'd be cool to say I met M. Night Shyamalan. Or just to say I'm one of the 3 people who can spell and pronounce that name correctly.
Also it might be pretty fun to see what all those perfect-skin, no-frizz, thin-as-twigs pitiful-excuse-for-a-real-woman female celebrities look like without all the airbrushing. Maybe I can convince them to start eating again, too. Because I'm hotter. And my husband LOVES me as I am.
I'd like to meet Chris. Again. Odds of him reading this are slim to none, maybe. But you never know.
I've got several online friends that it'd be cool to meet. Justin, Tim, Jason, Heidi, Sin...
...
