About me: Today is June 26, 2009 the day after both Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett died. The music & entertainment world has suffered a great lost by the passing of these two wonderful people. Let today be a reminder that we should love one another and also a reminder to tell the people you love, that you love them everyday! Tomorrow is not promised to any of us and it may never come. Being friends with several people that work directly with MJ, my heart goes out to them as they are mourning today during this sad time. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
(I also promise to update the following very soon!) 6.26.2009
I am a former concert promoter from Flint, Michigan, that some say pioneered rap concert promoting in the Michigan area in the mid 80’s and gave MC Breed his first break. I am now residing in Atlanta and making a new mark in the music industry as the major force and guidance behind the up and coming new group Da Future, which hail from Las Vegas, Nevada.
I am known to most in the music industry simply as “Baby Girl”, I have had the extreme pleasure to work with many extremely talented major recording artists. Having promoted such major acts in the early 80’s as Run DMC, LL Cool J, Salt & Pepa and Whodini, it is no wonder that I have not let anything or anyone hold me back from landing a mega-deal for my new group Da Future.
In the mid 90's after I relocated to the ATL, I had the opportunity to work with several artist from the Atlanta area as I put together my up close and personal video show simply known as "Baby Girl's Home Video Jamz." Although my investor had to pull out (for personal reasons) right before the show aired, we did manage to tape almost an entire season. Immediately after that I was the General Manager at a independent record label located in the ATL.
In May 2001, after relocating to Las Vegas, I began publishing a local newsletter called "Just For Kids" where Lil’ Ronnie and K.J. served as youth reporters and I served as the Editor-in-Chief. After recording a very impressive demo CD, I left my position as Program Director and Case Manager for Lutheran Social Services in mid 2002 to pursue a major recording contract for what the music industry is now anticipating to be one of the “biggest” youth groups to hit. During that year, I struggled to make ends meet while keeping the young boys in the eye of the public as much as possible. I achieved gaining the young reporters exposure with major celebrities such as Erving “Magic” Johnson, Roy Jones Jr. and Tyrese and so many other celebrities that it's not even funny.
Today, I am proud to acknowledge that it is my belief in God that has been the major key in my being able to create a great situation for my group independently with some very impressive and powerhouse people in the industry. I believe that "it is because of my close friendships and strong relationships that are many years old that the music industry will be able to see yet another young group rise among the ranks of stardom.”
I could go on and on but I'm not a big name dropper and all I want to do at this point in my life is meet new friends and increase the awareness of my HOT new group to everyone who enjoys great music. So look out for Dizzy, K.J. and Young D..........Da Future and holla' at a girl with a plan, a vision and a dream that is bound to make it reality. And remember if you believe it you can achieve it! One Love, I'm out.... Da Future is coming soon and there is no way you can STOP
Who I'd like to meet: Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou & Suzanne de Passe and anyone that is interested in working together and being on a Win-Win Team!
