Babylon’s Burning was created in the early months of 2004 by singer Shaved Head Paul (formerly of Public Brutality and Xenophobia) and guitarist Dallas Shaheen who were both tired of hearing the constant state of which hardcore was in. With every band sounding the same with the chuggah chuggah guitar riff breakdowns and the loss of a certain message that was always contained within hardcore and punk rock, they decided that hardcore needed a change with a message brought back to the forefathers of hardcore and the punk rock roots. With some problems within the line ups the band has set itself in stone as a force to be reckoned with.
Babylon’s Burning brings a sense of a message and a wake up call to the hardcore and punk rock communities. A message of unity, standing up for what you believe in, fighting for what drives you to live on. Babylon’s Burning definitely proves to show that there is more to music than just a break down and a spin kick. Pulling influences musically from bands such as Bad Brains, Black Flag, 7 Seconds, Warzone, Minor Threat, Sick of It All, Terror, Buried Alive and more.
