Sounds Like
Trouble..."If you’ve seen them you know what to expect (Dudley’s loud, atmospheric, metallic guitar, Corrie’s snaky and sneaky bass lines, and Scott McCannell’s rock-solid drumming), but I like the way that every now and again they change up their live show so that they don’t become predictable. Singer Scott Weaver has become increasingly intense in his live performances and when he lets down his guard he really shines. Also, some of their recent shows have ended with Dudley and Scott McCannell tackling each other and wrestling around on the stage knocking over equipment. Tonight’s show ended this way. I’m sorry I only got one photo of the show-ending fracas but as I snapped away in vain I saw that my digital camera flashed back the dreaded “out of memory” message". - stillnotdead.com

Check out this recently unearthed footage of Babyshaker's first taped performance back in 2000! Complete with an interview by Hope Nichols of Fetchin Bones, Sugarsmack, Pigface and Snagglepuss fame!
Having their foot firmly planted in the ass of the North Carolina music scene - while giving the finger to the world - Babyshaker slams glammed-up punk into loud, dirty rock that you can make love to. This veteran live act has toured with Jucifer, as well as shows with Iggy Pop, Kiss, The Toilet Boys, Blonde Redhead, Poison, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Make Up, Glass Candy, Fetchin Bones, Fu Manchu, and Antiseen to name a few. They have released one full - length, "The Best Of", and have been featured on several comps, including "Hard Candy And Sweet Brown Liquor" in the U.K., "Jesus Christ Surferstar" in Italy, and "Bomb threat" in the U.S. Recently the members of Babyshaker made an appearance in the film "Great World Of Sound" and contributed a song to the soundtrack of the underground horror film "Come Get Some". Up next is the soon-to-be-released, Don Dixon - produced second full-length that captures the spirit of their bombastic live shows. Get ready!
Influenced by art, politics, fashion and a love of all music, Babyshaker careens through the rock underground - embraced by it's sub-genres but limited to none. Too punk to be metal, too metal to be punk. And, despite a penchant for style, too raw to be called glam.
Their often- manic live show is as stimulating to the eyes as it is to the ears.
Babyshaker is dirty, raw, smart, and downright sexy. -CMJ

Hello Firstly, I hope all is well with you and yours. I am personally touching base with everyone on my friend’s list. I have the next few months off before I start a tour early next year, and I want to take this time to thank you for your friendship and support , and share my latest news. In my latest blog I posted the transcript of my recent interview with MUEN Magazine, which was featured in the October issue. It explains a lot more about who I am behind the music, if you are interested. There is a free mp3 download of a song I did called “Be Still” that can exclusively be downloaded from my iLike profile. As always, just click on any of the links on the right side of my main profile page to access my iTunes, Facebook, YouTube, iLike, official page etc. If you will, please add me at any site you are on, as I do different things on each site. I am also announcing that “Blush” and “Disclaimer”, two songs off my debut album “The Good Fight”, will soon be downloadable on Xbox live and PS3 Nation to play on Rock Band. I leave you now with a song I uploaded today on my YouTube. It’s my spin on my all time favorite blues song, and part of my live set. I recorded it at my house the other day. It also debuts the new logo I designed. Hope you enjoy it. If you dig my work, share it with a friend. I don’t care about fame or money, I am just one man who loves music, and dedicates my life to sharing it with as many people as possible. Thank you again for your friendship and support. Best Wishes Gregory Ploy of Oracle
