Impassioned jazz and improvised musics, I am a type-setter and I teach the saxophone at the department jazz of the CNR of Nice.
I organize training courses of music in Ajaccio and Neuvic (19).
I did not have the advisability yet of doing it in Nice but I do not despair.
To transmit my knowledge, to federate, exchange and communicate around the same passion are a deep motivation but ... to play in front of a public is the only price which is really worth because the scene makes it possible to carry out its dreams of musician.
I seek scenes which invite artists more than they do program spectacles and which require of the musicians "to be endangered" by proposing innovating projects.
A great part of my human and musical waitings are joined together in the meeting with Marc Guillermont, Philippe Canovas and Christian Mariotto.
From this friendship was born the group MIKAPTOJAM (group of instinctive improvisation) which is the crucible of all my musical influences.

Musical project MIKAPTOJAM was created by Jean-Marc Baccarini and endorsed by Barre Philips and François Rossé, innovators of this musical style.
Single concert, it mixes the most traditional acoustic sounds of jazz with the most modern sounds, thanks to the musical originality of its members.
These sonorities are created mainly by an extraordinary Marc Guillermont who not only plays low guitar and keyboards but, "exclusive originality", practices the "real-time drum playing" (drums sounds played live et the keyboard)
At the drums, Christian Mariotto impassioned with traditional jazz and avant garde jazz, allows the band to face the necessary musical risk of a rhythmic reliability. Philippe Canovas with his guitars controls a very wide sound range influenced by Jim Hall as well as by Bill Frisell.
The saxophones of Jean-Marc Baccarini rejoin its three fellows with a musical complicity close to their human complicity.
The musical theme in jazz is a pretext for improvisation. The MIKAPTOJAM band has decided to ignore it and to simply improvise simply within a new world not only acoustic but also electronic and to mix the traditional jazz instruments with the new processes of musical creation assisted by machines. MIKAPTOJAM proposes a music in awakening which uses the experience of the past and takes up the challenges of the present, a show which can charm the rising generation of jazz, impassioned by the sampling and the computer, while respecting the preceding generations since we all come from a traditional jazz culture.
The objective is to go towards an impressionist music but not an impressive one.
Jean-Marc Baccarini thinks that jazz has always mixed with the musical tendencies and innovations of its time and it is the crazy bet MIKAPTOJAM wants to win with and thanks to you.
