What can I say? It's God speaking. It is the ultimate authority to turn to on everything. It's hardly a book - I can see why people call it the "Living Word" You can invite the Author to be there with you explaining things to you as you read.

Maybe it was originally meant for kids, but I unashamedly use it all the time. I'm a visual person, how the heck else am I meant to take in everything that happened in the Old Testament? Definitely not a replacement for the Bible, but fantastic for a fresh perspective on the stories.

This book and it's sequel are fictional, and who knows, maybe not even all that theologically correct. But one massive thing they did for me was make me realise that everything we do has a consequence in the spiritual realm. We are, after all, not physical beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a physical experience.

About me:
Welllll... if I didn't know better (and I don't), Id say I'm one of the few to whom the meaning of life is no great mystery. It's to love. Love God, love others, love life. Dag nammit, it's not rocket science, stop making it more complicated than it is.

People sometimes tell me I'm the most open minded Christian they know, as if Christians are a bunch of narrow minded freaks who have never considered anything else... What tha? How narrow minded are ya if you believe the world was created in six days and one Perfect Bloke was killed once for all the bad stuff YOU did so YOU could live forever?

I think what they really mean is that I'm the first Christian they've met who will openly give it some thought when they challenge my beliefs. Cos I have already had it proven that what I believe will hold true in the end. Now THAT, my friends, is narrow minded!

We are not physical beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience.

I am known on Gold Coast radio station 107.3 Life FM as Dangerous Dean, where I do the Lifeword segment. Listen in at around 7:30am, 2:30pm, and 9:30pm weekdays for some juicy and hopefully crap-free & easy-to-relate-to Biblical action. And now I'm also back in The Shed on a Friday night from 7 to 10 for the Shed Overrated. Woo, overrated, like most stuff I do...

My day job, bread and butter, and passion though, is supporting people with disabilities to do the stuff they can't do alone. They have the same thoughts, feelings, hopes and dreams as the rest of us, it's just that their body limits how much they can follow through on it all. Despite the physical boundaries, communication boundaries, and occasional intellectual boundaries (MY lack of intellect being the boundary!), I still consider some of these guys my best friends, simply cos they don't pretend to be anyone they're not. They can't afford to. I honestly don't think we can either, we just don't realise it - that's our disability.

Do you ever get the feeling we take it all a bit too seriously?

I have an unhealthy obsession with the word "pants".

I have no sense of smell.

I am still coming to terms with the fact that people are only human and we will let each other down.

I am completely and utterly an eye man. Which is good, cos I'm allowed to stare at them. But if you have a big smile I'll stare too.

Some days i like to drive with the radio off.

The only bad thing about riding a motorbike is that ex-bikers always want to tell you all their stories. Oh and you get a really wet crotch when it rains.

It really annoys me when people say "You have a lot of time on your hands, don't you" cos someone has done something they can't.

bahahaha! though i'm pretty sure that wasn't number 86, it was in my top ten, just below ride a bike past a policeman and nod and smile, without a helmet, and whilst drinking a beer, which we did tonight, i love this country!

Hey yeh, I think I see people a lot too... But I generally don't say hi unless I really know huh... too many awkward moments :p although it is fun to strike up a convo with a complete random as if you've known them forever, you should try it for a laugh :)

Haha I would've started a mud fight. Um yeh something like that :) working, traveling, just chilling with my Heavenly Daddy. I'll be here til Christmas :) Then home for Christmas, NY etc etc... then I dunno eh. We'll see what God has in store for me.

Well yes I'll try to give updates of travels etc. You have to let me know how you're getting on too. Well I'm off to bed for now :)

Hey miss girly, didn't see you at Easterfest this year, were you theeeeeeeere? Probably still on staff and you were running round being crazy busy headless chicken right?

I was looking out for you cos I had to ask: Did me and Grant see you at the airport at Christmas? There was this totally hot girl looking at us as if she knew us and then like 30 seconds later I was like "Hey that was Jess from Eastrefest!"

Well I was a bit of a piker this year... I wasn't even there, I'm in London... I so wish I could've just popped home for it but it's way expensive... I heard it got pretty rained out... sad day.

Life is eventful and full of surprises ... Love is always good, wanna have that one day :) ... and Ripple Effect. Well the changes that have afforded me lots of stress and excitment and nervousness have led us to seek a new guitarist. Brad decided to leave the band and so we have been on the hunt for replacements. As it stands it looks like Ripple will be heading in a new direction which is looking to be very different and heaps exciting. We all need a change.
So hows life, love and comedy?
