About Back to the Blues
Our Mission/Vision/Values Statement
Gospel Blues Productions is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the Gospel Blues both locally and internationally via the “Back to the Blues Gospel Blues Festival” that takes place in a down home venue, the Atchlitz Thresherman Heritage Village. This little village is nestled in the upper Fraser Valley in Chilliwack, B.C. Canada.
Our board of directors is a crazy bunch of Blues luvin’ Believers that share the same vision and are incredibly excited about sharing that with others by making a difference in our world!
Mission
Our two fold mission is having a passion for hosting a family event with great music that promotes a positive message for all generations and to bring much needed awareness to less fortunate regions by providing fresh drinking water through our water drilling projects.
Vision
By 2012 will have reached the lives of 10,000 people in need by providing fresh drinking water to Third World communities and neighboring areas while spreading the Good News of hope and encouragement to our local communities through music.
Values
We have an unwavering commitment to our Mission
We are positive and passionate about everything we do
We are honest, open and keep our commitments
We are fun, friendly and caring
Our Faith is at the centre of everything we do
Influences
Jesus Christ first and formost who is faithful in all things: all of those blues musicans who have struggled with the good, the bad, and the glorious. All the christian brothers and sisters, the still searching brothers and sisters who struggle with their faith at times but keep taking one step at a time.
Sounds Like

BacktoBlues Fest was started in Chilliwack BC Canada in 2003 by a few brothers who felt called to do something that would glorify Christ, help people, and just flat out be fun. It just gets better every year!!!
The 2009 Back2Blues Fest Guitar is in the works. Shannon Coberly of Trimmed And Burnin Amps/Guitars is building this guitar to donate to the Back2Blues mission of drilling water wells in undeveloped countries.
This guitar is a one of a kind guitar, designed for Back2Blues Fest that will never be reproduced to these specs again and comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity signed by the builder. Please go to www.back2blues.com for ticket info and purchases.
Here's some photos of some good time and good people,,,,how great is our God?
Hey Shannon, thanks we did that. We just put it on the B to B site to encourage other blues bands in the BC lower mainland of a great opportunity to bless the prison population. God showed up and blessed us in the big way, both of us...the band and inmates.
Hey Glen, we can not thank you and Heather enough for hospitality, friendship, the conversations and laughs. But most of all for the help in the arrangements in making an opportunity for us to play at Mission and Ferndale Institution. It was along day for you being the roadie for two shows. The whole experience of the weekend has blessed us.
Anyways, Grace, Peace and in the radical scandalous unending love of Jesus.
When I logged on this morning, I had an e-mail from you, wishing me a happy birthday. I appreciate your thoughtfulness everyone! Thank you very much for the kind words and wishes!
....FRIZZ RECORDS is proud to announce our first official LP release...
"It's Not The Wand, It's The Magic" is the debut release from AUGUST, the London based band centred around the songwriting partnership between vocalist VEDINA MOSE and multi-instrumentalist / producer RAPHAEL MANN (MR HUDSON / JOY JOSEPH / ART TERRY), with master drummer CLEAN CUT MARK and clarinetist / vocalist MAREE CHOIE completing the core line-up, and a supporting cast including ART TERRY (keyboards), SHOHEI KAWAMOTO (AKA Japanese producer Baraki, Bass clarinet, soprano sax and flute), and KAI HOFFMAN (French horn)
Always an act that juggled a diverse set of influences, the album has been compared to artists as diverse as KATE BUSH, PRINCE, DE LA SOUL, SLY STONE, MADLIB, SERGE GAINSBOURG and THE DELFONICS, for its concoction of wild experimentation and traditional song craft, organic production and futuristic electronic touches, funk bass & drums and jazz & orchestral references, infectious melodies and lyrical flights of fancy...with nods towards classic soul, JB funk, Studio One, 60s pop, psychedelia, left field hip hop, new wave, doo wop, tropicalia, high life, & avant garde jazz, without any song ever fitting squarely into any of those categories...new music, basically...and an instant classic!
"It's Not The Wand, It's The Magic" can be downloaded now from the iTunes Store
The album is also available on heavyweight vinyl LP in a sumptuous gatefold sleeve, or on Digipack CD from www.FrizzRecords.com & all good retailers

I went to the east coast to celebrate my 60 th Birthday on a boat fishing for tuna. Well, a hurricane blew that and the winds kept up to about 25-32 knotes (50-64 KMPH) for the next 4 days and there was NO fishing at all. We had some great times with my family and some friends out there. I took my children and their spouses and all 6 grand children and toured the island. Great times and food. We all stayed in a 4 bedroom house looking over the ocean.
We had a great time and GOD and Jesus came too!. They took care of us because we had a lil' too much Organic drinks! Now I have an Organic hangover...LOL!
