The Back Alley Blues Band was originally formed in November, 1996 by Franc Robert (Guitar/Vocals), and Smokin Joe Sadowski (Harp/vocals). The band started out playing true hard core Chicago Blues (think Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Little Walter, Buddy Guy, and many others), mixed with the best of the Texas/Louisiana style (think T-Bone Walker, Slim Harpo, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, SRV, and more). In August of 2004, we released our first CD (right in the middle of Hurricane Charley!) and have started playing more festivals and large events, in turn opening concerts for Bill "The Sauce Boss" Wharton, Charlie Musselwhite, Smokin Joe Kubek, Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers, and Pat Travers, among others. The first CD, Boxcar Tourists, was released in February of this year-check out the sounds on the samples page!! In October 2006, the band welcomed Marty Lindemann on drums, with Alza Perez moving over on bass and vocals. This lineup has recorded the CD "Ya Can't Stay Here" and will be recording a new CD in Fall, 2007, once we get all the new songs written (what else is new!?!?)
Hello and good morning BABB! Needed something good to start our day, so we came over to your space for some of your music...and borrowed "My Baby Caught...." for our profile page song-of-the-day! Thanks!
