About me:

Backbeat Magazine provides an exclusive view of the diversity, talent, and vitality that brings San Antonio’s underground music community together. Backbeat is dedicated to the idea that as our music scene evolves, so must the coverage that it receives. We have set out to provide cutting-edge coverage of groundbreaking local artists, in-depth live show reviews, extensive local CD exposure, and profiles on the revolutionaries working among us in an all-inclusive effort to unite our scene. By paying homage to the ghosts of venues past and those who laid our scene’s foundations, the publication affords outside readers a path with which to trace the roots of San Antonio’s rich musical history. As a group of local music insiders, we have pooled our diverse resources to take an accurate measurement of the city’s musical pulse. Backbeat is the insider’s guide to the San Antonio music scene.
