About me: Hello my friend. I am a professional agent and promoter and I run my business (Backdoor Promotions) from home in Darlington. I deal in concert promotions and I have a number of entertainers on my books. I also manage female models and I am currently expanding this side of my business. I have been involved in the UK ska scene since I was 15 years old. I began by getting album and press reviews for the likes of Bad Manners, Blue Beat Records, Unicorn Records and The Potato 5 in the North East media. I still do this from time to time. I have also organised shows for ska greats like Bad Manners, Desmond Dekker, The Toasters, The Beat, The Hotknives, Laurel Aitken, The Skabilly Rebels, The Dualers, 3 Minute Warning, The Amphetameanies, Smoke Like A Fish and a host of other acts in the UK and in Germany. During the summer of 2006, I helped organise the Summer Ska Season at The Forum in Darlington, and it was a huge success. I love my job and my sights are firmly set on bringing even more top ska talent to northern England & to Germany.
My aim is simple and effective. I always intend to make my client successful in whatever field they work in, and I offer them professional management and promotion with a cheesey grin ! In 2007, I was interviewed by Music On Air webzine , and the publication caused quite alot of interest for Backdoor Promotions.
I am also a member of the Darlington based ska band, The G Men. We reformed in 2007. I sing a little and play the cowbell. I am also known as Mr Sausage in certain parts of England, Germany and in rural Norway, but most people call me by my nickname, Dell.
In my spare time, I follow Manchester City FC & go ghost hunting at haunted locations in England. I once started up a Fan Club for lovers of Spaghetti, but these days I am far too busy thrusting my hips like a screwball throughout the United Kingdom and Germany to run such crazy fan clubs but never say never, groover ! { :
