Backdraft earns their name. Each song they have creates an explosion. Something never heard before comes from the speakers whether you are hearing them live at a club where you can see the energy pour out of each of the 4 members or at home listening to their debut album "One Night" in silence so you can examine every blazing note to the fullest.
This band hasn't been around long but just like the fire they portray, they have really taken off in a blaze.
The first strike of the match was with their first album produced by Steve Hoffman [Exile] and the guys themselves.
Souring vocals, smoking hot guitar licks and heart thumping drum beats let a story ring out from each of the albums' tracks. Whether it is the opening fast-paced "All the Years" (yes there's cowbell to calm your fever!), the eerie yet heart-wrenching title track "One Night" or the 7 minute alternative ending ballad "Look the Other Way" there is something that everyone can connect on or relate to.
As the days progress the 4 rockers from Kentucky show no signs of slowing down. With prospects in the music industry and an evergrowing fanbase, the future can only wait for the next spark to ignite something even more great.
"People might hear our first album and thing we are finished covering new ground because on the first album we had stuff that sounded everywhere from pop/rock to hard rock. What people don't know is we have over 30 songs to choose from, not to mention a few covers we have spun around into something people have never heard before. I was happy with our first album and the songs that we put on it. However, our new songs aren't classified in a genre. Heavier yes. If you catch a live show you can catch a glimpse of the new sound. We have started demoing for the next Backdraft album. When we will record it I cannot say just yet. I just wrote 3 next songs to add to our plethora as it is. (Who knows?) We may have it out this year. All I can say is if you liked our first record at all...you will love the next!"-Cody
