BACKROOM is the new project for some South Jersey veteran musicians!
Joe Lerch (Headrain, Full Moon Fever) joined forces with Lou Hall (Full Moon Fever, AFML) for yet another collaboration. These guys first played together in "Moment's Notice" from '88 to '90, and then again in '06 and '07 in "Full Moon Fever." And they are back together again, ready to rock you!
Joe is a professional musician who plays guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards. He graduated from Rowan University's music program in 1989 with a degree in music education / percussion. He has performed in many rock and jazz groups, a house band, musical show pits, and even a professional orchestra. He is also a DJ, having created a large number of experimental electronic compositions. He recently spent two years drumming with South Jersey recording artist "Headrain."
Lou Hall is the man with the big voice. In the '80's, he was a bass player with "Moment's Notice". He then went on to front "A Few Moment's Later", "Time Warp", and "Full Moon Fever", bringing his incredible vocal skills to all of South Jersey. He opened AFML Studios in 2007, and fronted a couple of revivals of "A Few Moment's Later". Now he is kicking ass and taking names as the voice of Backroom!
BACKROOM is a project that brings these guys full circle. From '88 to now, Joe and Lou have been making music together and seperately. Now, in the '09 and beyond, they are ready to rock the South Jersey music scene once again, bringing their own interpretations of classic and modern rock songs to a club near you!
On the bass is Joe Jandura (No Warning Shots), who got an early start with music. At the age of four he took lessons on the electric organ and at age six he began playing a Ukrainian stringed instrument known as the bandura. Athough he spent his early years fiddling around with keyboards, he came to know his true musical love at the age of 14 when he picked up his first bass guitar.
Joe started playing in bands at age 16 starting with Esperanto and Kelly Peas out of the Ocean City / Tuckahoe area. He then went on to play in a few small projects involving death metal and very hard rock. After a few years off he finally got together with old friends to form the original band Projekt 7 which was later re-designated No Warning Shots. While still the bassist for No Warning Shots, Joe has now teamed up with the guys from Backroom as well to lend 20 years of bass playing experience to a group of seasoned veterans.
On the lead guitar is Elio Olizi. Elio has been playing guitar over 25 years. He started his career in South Philly with the Majestic Light Band, playing at many clubs and outdoor venues in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area. He has collaberated with many musicians over the years and has an extensive interest in all types of music. His love of guitars has lead him to build his own custom axes and collect vintage models. His primary musical influences are Steve Vai, David Gilmour, and George Lynch.
Finally, on the drums is the third of the Joe's in the band. We are pleased to welcome back the mighty Joe Wells (AFML, Full Moon Fever, Time Warp). His bio is coming soon, but let's just say the guy rocks, and has been rocking with Joe Lerch and Lou Hall for the past 20 years!
Hey Guys, congrats! We wish you much success in all that you do! It was always a pleasure working with Full Moon Fever and Headrain! Don't hesitate to call upon PMM if you ever need some help.
