Backslap Club are a four-piece based in London. Our sound isn't really very 'cutting-edge'. In a lot of ways we probably sound like we should've been around about 12 years ago, but we didn't know each other then and we were probably too busy playing nintendo and stuff like that anyway. We're just trying to make music that we like, and so far we've been successful. The demos on the player above were recorded in James's front room last year. We've been playing together for a over a year now and have just got our first few gigs under our belts. If you're a promoter or you're running a bar/venue and looking for a decent young band, consider us available. If you're just here to listen, enjoy!
Recent reviews: "Wowzers, Backslap chaps! What a trio of magnificent tunes! Very impressed- when do I get my CD to flaunt to the masses? Seriously- I have been looking forward to downloading them all day and they did not disappoint. An amazing range of style and interestimg (sic) effects. You should be very proud of yourselves. Mum xxxx" (Diana Dennison, 2007)

Hey! How's the weather over there? I just want to let you know that i'm coming to London in late May/early June to play bass with Kevin Montgomery and Tommy Allsup. Tommy played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens.....would love to see you at a show? I figured with you being a musician you could appreciate this show. We play the Half Moon Putney. I hope you can come down?
Take care!
