Backspace NL
it's the means to do party's, get creative people together, help positively catalyse human evolution, music and art.
About me: BACKSPACE is an organisation based in the Netherlands that organises events and provides and maintains a network of promoters, audio-/visual-artists, producers, event-organisation, dj's, vj's, sound systems, labels, decorists, distributors, performers and all other good and creative souls that are somehow connected to the world of intelligent electronic music.
With 'intelligent electronic music' we mean the musical genres of the alternative and experimental modern electronics, sound-art and related (audio-/visual-) arts as opposed to more commercial or uninspiring forms of electronic music.
We mainly focus on the genres of the experimental and electro-acoustics, IDM, tekno, breakcore, breaks, breakbeats, dubstep, grime, psy-trance, Drum&Bass, electro, trip hop, more downtempo and ambient soundworks and (in fusion with) live-/world-/classical/jazz-musicians, bearing in mind the world's old and various ways of making music.
The purpose of our network is to share resources, to promote each others work and to bring together the best of people to work on even better projects. We do all this with an aim of realising a healthy and creative environment for the experience and development of electronic music, related arts and for (sound- and party-) culture in general.
Ideally speaking, BACKSPACE is a network of people who are in this world of music for the good of everyone and all around them. People that work together to help promote each others work and create those gatherings, parties and festivals that bring people in contact with the important form of truth that art holds for us and that might even help positively catalyse human and planetary evolution.
We are involved in various projects and we're always looking for more collaborators, performers/artists, etc. so if you are interested in what we do, if you want to enjoy the possibilities of our organisation and website, or if you want to collaborate on future events, please contact us or register to the forum at the BACKSPACE website website.
Who I'd like to meet: We're looking for all folks that are involved in the production and promotion of good (electronic) music and art.
If there's artists thinking about doing a show in the Netherlands, give us a shout (with dates, fee's, preferences, etc) and we'll see what we can do for you.
We hope to find good people here that like to collaborate on future projects, want to perform or make good music we want to promote, etc. So if yer in to all that write us a mail.

From the depths of Brooklyn, the turntable master Lenny Dee is back to unleash his 2nd solo DJ Mix on Audiogenic. 'Ballad of the Broken Turntable' is a DJ Mix geared to show DJs wax is not dead. This mix twists and turns nonstop like a machine, fusing hard techno and industrial hardcore like no other CD out. With over 40 tracks including tracks made exclusively for this release, this DJ Mix will set a new standard in DJ mix CDs.
Having released a couple of tuneful albums with theAudiologist and Soni Jimm since my last LP, "Fear of Mathematics", Section 27 Netlabel brings you "Wrpdata”, containing 14 tracks full of chunky, breathy and some would even say pleasantly broken breaks, some good-time-mind-fuck glitch, a few (thankfully blissful) orchestrated mixes featuring the talents of Pinklogik and theAudiologist (also acting as co-producer on this release) respectively, and ends sweetly with some beautiful spoken word poetry by the lovely aussie Cindel Waddington.
A delight on the sensory organs from start to finish, "Wrpdata" is available now for *free* download. Licensed by Creative Commons.
