Hardcore: it is no longer underground. It no longer belongs to those who are the outsiders of mainstream society. The scene has become "scene" and an infestation of those who don't truely care for what the hardcore scene personifies have taken a foothold. Look around... all you see are kids obsessed with their hairstyles, their fashion, their cliques and looking "hawt." On another side are kids too concerned with representing their hometowns by trying to be "tough" and beating on everyone in the crowd at shows, ignoring that this is supposed to be a unified family. There are the kids that won't accept anything or anyone that isn't PC and place themselves above everyone else as if they are all-knowing. Pretentiousness, self-obsession, lack of respect... they've forgotten the faces of our fathers.
Back To Back was started with the goal to play hardcore with the attitude of yesteryear. We don't support the way the scene has become and hope to change some people's perspectives on what hardcore is supposed to be about. Are we going to offend a lot of people in the process? Probably. Is it important to take that risk to attain a goal? Absolutely. At any rate, you can decide for yourself whether you like us or not...
