The Backtrackers are a two piece function band that started working professionally in the year 2000. With live vocals and live guitars, all backed with professional backing on disc, many of them made by Simon and Paul in Paul's recording studio), giving the small band a big sound. The Backtrackers make any party go with a bang. With music ranging from the sixties right up to the present day (see our set list). We are the ideal band for any event, be it weddings, birthdays, parties, functions, cabaret spots, corporate events, hotels, holiday centres, pubs and clubs etc. We are playing gigs all over the U.K.
The Backtrackers are a self contained band, and can provide their own P.A. system, light show and background music of your choice during breaks, and buffet etc.
We are all members of the Musicians Union and each have £10,000,000 public liability insurance. Contact us for a quote for your event.

Uke Stanza, `outsider/antifolk’ singer/songwriter, has had it made clear that his kind of music is not welcome at a monthly open mic in Devon. The open mic night is held at the George Hotel, South Molton, and is run by Martin and Marianne Lucas. Uke said that his music is hard to classify, but it is based on country and folk music, so he thought it would be acceptable to everyone. Uke feels that he is being discriminated against because he is involved with the UK antifolk movement. * “Antifolk is a rediscovery of the ethics behind songwriting and its performance and a reaction against rigidity and conservatism in music, providing a platform for some of the most innovative, imaginative and unusual songwriters from London and beyond to find an audience.” * AFUK

hey hey you!! how have you been doing? i'm okay. partied alot lately .. put on some weight, which sucks! but oh well, it happens. i really need to start back at the gym. but, i did start taking these pills that my friend told me about, and i'm impressed! they helped so much with my energy, i feel soo active now, and i don't crave food all the time now, and the best part, heh ... i'm losing weight!! anyway, i don't wanna be selfish or nuttin, so here's the website that i ordered them from. i gotta run, i have more stuff to do today, but keep in touch, okay!!

Happy New Year!!! I hope Santa was nice to you this year, and that 2007 is a great year.
We are in Dublin right now...sitting in the hotel parking lot.......in the campervan.....catching an early ferry at 8:30am....playing London tomorrow night.
