Needless to say I am into music and enjoy playing acoustic music with my band, BackYard. We play at Coffee Houses and other small venues.
I also get the opportunity to help out other local musicians setting them up with weeknight shows at Coffee Works. I also help run the open mic there along with other things. My way of helping out the local music community
I also play guitar with Kris Noyes and Rink, now known as the Kris Noyes Trio or The Trio for short. A "Pure Fun" project letting us acousticize and jam out on some classic rock tunes. Also lets me break out the old Les Paul and add lead guitar to the Trio's sound. We're not writing new songs but we're making something new out of lots of our own personal favorite songs. Fun stuff!!

The only radio I listen to these days is WXPN (88.5) out of Philly. Its a public radio station that plays a great mix of music. They play all the new singer/songwriter tunes that just don't get airplay on other stations. Artists like Jack Johnson, Jim Boggia, John Butler Trio, Aimee Mann, Joss Stone, Natalie Merchant, Lucinda Williams, Rilo Kiely, Amos Lee, Los Lonely Boys and thousands of others that just don't get played on the big commercial stations.

As for movies, my wife works for a video rental store so we see lots of movies but usually after they come to DVD. Can't remember the last movie I saw at the theater.

Not much!! Some food network, discovery channel, SciFi channel, morning news. Not too familiar with the night time TV shows. Grey's Anatomy is okay! The Medium is pretty good. Jay Leno, David Letterman, South Park.

About me:
Welcome to my MySpace. I'm a musician and guitarist. I play with a little acoustic band known as BackYard! We play at local coffee houses and other small venues. Mostly classic covers with some original stuff thrown in too. My musical partner Annette is the vocalist, Rink on hand drums and percussion, Joe on Harmonica, Sally doing some backup vocals, and me doing what I can on guitar. Most of the time it's just Annette, Rink and me but sometimes we get everyone out and do the full band thing.

Open Mic Night at Coffee Works!
Now every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9:30.
Bob and the BackYard gang will be hosting a couple of Open Mic events per month at Coffee Works since they are now holding one every week. Marc Sengin will continue hosting the 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays of each month and we will do the 1st and 4th. This is a very popular venue and has live music all the time so if your a performer this is the open mic to come out too. Many performers get their foot in the door by playing at the Open Mic events. This is a great place to play. House sound, real stage, lights, plenty of seating, Great FOOD, The Best COFFEE and always a great crowd. Come on out and help support Coffee Works Cafe as they support Local Live Music!!
Coffee Works also presents terrific, local, talented performers every thursday, friday and saturday night. Come on out and enjoy some Live Music and support the place that brings it to you for FREE. Besides Music.....

I always enjoy meeting other musicians even if its just to tell them how much I enjoyed thier performance. Other than playing live music I love watching other performers do their thing. Its like a music lesson to me!
