Who needs to make the big time when you can have the best time in real time playing RAGTIME!?!
It all started when Huck and Emmit came together on a
cold Alaska night to warm fingers on strings and lips on a trumpet in the name of 'ol ragtime tunes, vaudeville, drag, and street performance. Their passion for a time period that lost it's tune well before discoverying they each had a bruther from another muther (100 years too late) encouraged their desire to spread the good ol' day ethic of bar room blues and cold cabin woes through music. Their brotherly bonding over girls, splitting logs, beer, and tunes birthed a high energy playful onstage presence that quickly attracted their long lost sister, Bucktoof Smiley to take her seat with them as the whiskey slingin' shit-talkin' suitcase drumkit percusionist. After Bucktoof added the "thumpa thumpa" to the tunes, the Bruthers realized that the low tones were missing....so comes along our sister from another mister, Stringbean, the washtub bass wonder to balance out the estrogen! WOOHOO!
They have travelled all over their Alaska home to spread smiles to lonesome sourdoughs and hardy northerns and even travelled down the warm West Coast in the winter of '08 for a successful southern tour and thawing out.
They hope to continue spreading safe gender bending (with adequate stetching), the ragtime rash, jugband itch, and a complete disregard for seriousness through chance they get and would love to play you a tune some time and any time!!
