BAD CIRKUZ was founded in 2007. A team of talented songwriters and musicians was formed. They discovered a woman in a godforsaken bar. And after some months of rehearsing in a smokey basement they went out to go and play in front of an audience. The first concert in november 2007 was a success and it was the start of an amazing trip. They won the Lo Rock Rally in april, they went touring through France, Spain and Portugal in july, they where the winner of the Marktrock Stella Artois Music Busker Contest 2008 and had their live debut on Studio Brussels. All this before the end of the summer. They won the Axion Banner Contest 2008 in december, they played at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels in february 2009. They proved themselves fit to a broad audience in the series of concerts that followed. Meanwhile they managed recording a 5 song CD in less than a month. Now they are playing their music and showing their enthusiasm on a lot of summer festivals all over Belgium.

Through their lyrics and music it's easy to hear their philosophy: the Bad Cirkuz stands for the grown up world and all its walls, rules and plans. While trying to fit in this bad circus you might forget something essential: the child inside of you. Laugh, cry, open up and amuse yourself. There's no need to be hiding behind the serious moustache.
