Sounds Like
a small orchestra, sonic soundscapes, simple folk-like rock songs, and little a tip of the hat to 70's prog rock, long songs, short songs, loud, quiet, fast, slow.
As a trio, Bad Dream Good Breakfast, soon realized that they couldn't achieve the lush intricate sounds they desired with guitar loops and distortion alone. Using their musical education (The New England Conservatory of Music, Berklee School of Music, University of Washington, etc…), they set out to expand their songs by orchestrating richer compositions for strings, electronics and vocal harmonies. The escapism and film noir aesthetic of BDGB's first release, Nothing Broken Nothing Damaged, has given way to a kinetic, explosive 7-person live set.

I was recently listening to the Arcade Fire and I noticed a shocking similarity to your music.
I just found it interesting that both the Arcade Fire and Bad Dream Good Breakfast possess 7 members and are both able to achieve those "lush intricate sounds" by having a "richer orchestra".
Perhaps listen to "Woodland National Anthem" by the Arcade Fire and you will see what I mean.

I know it seems like it has been forever since we did a show in Seattle but heres your chance to catch us. We play from 930pm-12am this Friday night 12/5 at Tost in Seattle. It has been a busy fall with touring and recording and we have some wild new material that we cant wait to share with our hometown peeps! Also on the horizon is New Years eve at Moxie in Queen Anne. We thank you again for your support and look forward to seeing you at the show.
Thanks! Yeah, Saturday's show should be a lot of fun.
I have no idea if our crowds would mesh, but it'd be awesome to play together sometime. We all respect the proggy art rock, and you guys have some quality chops. :)
Your music's great :D its so different and i love it.
well my name's maria, and i'm an aspiring music journalist =]
so basically I have to write an example page to show to a few places (1 specifically) where i can hopefully get an internship. I was wondering if there was any way you and i could talk on the phone or via internet or something and interview you about just like, building up to where you are now and all that great stuff. =] I think if this paper is going to be as important as it is, then i want it to be something i really enjoy and would have fun with, and I immediately thought of you to interview. So if possible, just let me know so we can work something out! Thanks =]
HI Nick Jones, I am beginning to wonder if your email has been hacked! Or do you really want to know if I think you are hot? Hope all is well in the North love
