Sounds Like
a small orchestra, sonic soundscapes, simple folk-like rock songs, and little a tip of the hat to 70's prog rock, long songs, short songs, loud, quiet, fast, slow.
As a trio, Bad Dream Good Breakfast, soon realized that they couldn't achieve the lush intricate sounds they desired with guitar loops and distortion alone. Using their musical education (The New England Conservatory of Music, Berklee School of Music, University of Washington, etc…), they set out to expand their songs by orchestrating richer compositions for strings, electronics and vocal harmonies. The escapism and film noir aesthetic of BDGB's first release, Nothing Broken Nothing Damaged, has given way to a kinetic, explosive 12-person live set.

You guys were so incredible last Friday!!! We've pretty much been listening to the CD all weekend. Thank you again!! Because of you guys, we raised almost $300!!! We got the whole thing on tape and some pics too, if you would like to see them :)Hope we can see you guys again soon!
Thanks a lot! :D Watching you guys perform was a huge inspiration for me to get better and better. I really wanted to hear more, and I hope I will get that chance in the future.
Hey! Yes, you guys are pretty sweet, Oliver told me about you and the boys from The Senate showed me your stuff and I thought I'd look you up. Yes, the title of my blog is a reference, though sadly I've really only read Lewis' non fiction and essays. I was a LOTR and Animorphs kid and grew up before I tried to read the Narnia series, so it didn't stick so much. The movies are cool though. I'll catch ya'll soon!
I would like to apologize for my unreasonable old next door neighbors for making you guys move somewhere else. I hope your new neighbors let you practice in peace.
Hello Nick Jones/BDGB. If you guys play a Wed. or Thurs. I'll totally watch your show. Unless you're above playing weekdays. Are you above playing weekdays???
P.S. The harmonic minor is silly, you can just get the dominant seventh chord with harmonic modulation to the parallel major, without having to deal with a whole new (undiatonic) scale. Am I right?!?
I read about you guys/gals in AP, listened to A Ghost That Couldn't Let Go and by the time it was done I was already buying the album off of CDbaby-Thank You I love it :)
